Release Date: November 8, 2017

Blurb

My plan was as simple as they come… in theory. Show up at the Cerberus clubhouse and give dear old Dad a piece of my mind. What I didn’t expect was being welcomed by the open arms of a father who had no idea I existed.

More importantly, I didn’t anticipate HER. Delilah Donovan was a breath of fresh air. She would soon become my reason for wanting to become a better man, my reason for getting out of bed with a smile on my normally sneering face. But no matter how much I changed, she’d always be too good for a man like me.

It was over before it could even begin.

4 Stars!

What I Loved:
I am a huge fan of this series and I absolutely adored Snatch and Itchy’s story (once Darby was out of the picture). They were definitely my favorite couple and I was so excited to see what life was like for them in the future. The idea of these two men with children and navigating the world as they became adults was very entertaining. Add to that the beloved members of Cerberus MC and their families, how they all function as an MC and a Family and it was a great idea. I loved knowing that their lives didn’t turn out perfect because that would certainly be unrealistic, however, at the same time I was happy that they all seemed to be relatively happy. I only wish I could’ve gotten even more Itchy and Snatch time.

What I Liked:
It’s great to see the potential for many more books in the Cerberus verse with the new characters. I am anxious for the stories of Ivy, Griffin and Gigi not to mention Sam and Drew. Gigi was the kind of character that I continued to roll my eyes at but I have a feeling her story will get me right in the feels.

Lawson and Delilah had great chemistry and I enjoyed how they were able to balance each other out. Once I got passed my serious dislike of Lawson I was able to see the connection between he and Delilah much more.

What I Didn’t Like:
I guess part of me was kind of disappointed in the fact that the MC’s are so young. I enjoy YA/NA but I generally don’t read much of it anymore. I definitely have a harder time thinking of teenaged or just legally able to drink people in the adult situations that I expect from MC Romance. This isn’t to say that the story is bad in any way, it’s a matter of personal opinion on my part.

Lawson- I hate it but, truth be told, I am not a fan. Maybe and I want to stress the word maybe, if he were older I could’ve liked him more but the fact that he’s 19 when we meet him, just made his arrogance and crude demeanor worse. I understood his hardened shell, the walls he’d erected and his abrasive attitude. He’d spent his whole life having to put up with his mother’s endless parade of men and a countless string of bad decisions. However, he was so unlikable when we meet him that I just couldn’t really get passed it.

Overall, Lawson is a good beginning to the new generation of Cerberus and I’m excited to see what else is in store for this group. While it’s not absolutely necessary to have read the original series before picking this one up, I’d definitely recommend it. The MC and the stories told are all great reads and it is awesome to know their backstory, especially Snatch, Itchy and Lawson’s mom, Darby.
