James Morgan: outlaw in a ruthless biker club, the Bastard Legion. Willing to do whatever he must to claw his way to the top of the club’s hierarchy.
Two things stand in the way of his ambitions: his heroin-addicted brother and his bisexuality. In Morgan’s world, his attraction to men is a death sentence, and he has no desire to pursue it… until he tangles with Luc Sinclair.
Luc Sinclair: fellow Bastard Legion biker. Tattoo artist. Rebel who wants out of a club he’s grown to despise.
Luc has a sister he’s protecting from a Legion ex-boyfriend. Saving her makes him a target. Morgan intervenes, and all bets are off. The sex is as fierce and passionate as it is dangerous. But when Morgan’s junkie brother learns of the relationship, he sees a way to advance in the Legion and take out a brother he hates. Their three worlds collide—one is left for dead, another fighting for life, and the bond between them broken.
In a dark and violent world where it’s every man for himself, finding their way back to each other and the only truth they’ve ever found will be a long, hard fight.
4 Stars!
Luc and Morgan. Two men in the dangerous world of the Bastard Legion Motorcycle Club.
I’m a sucker for MC books so any chance I have to read one with two hot and sexy men who happen to fall in love, well, let’s just say I will jump for the chance. Broken Sun was well written and the buildup of the story had me anxiously anticipating how the story would end and whether these two men would get their HEA.
I loved the beginning, Morgan had me completely intrigued, I couldn’t decide if I was going to like him or not. It wasn’t long though until I realized I was finding a connection to him and I began to like him even if I never completely loved him. Of course, I had feelings about him that also extended from the previous novella, Happy Birthday.
I did find myself feeling like 3/4 of the way through the book slowly started to drag a bit. I’m not sure if it was the momentum of the storyline or just the fact I was wanting more sexy times between Luc and Morgan. I still enjoyed the plot, I enjoyed the characters and I enjoyed the writing.

4.5 Stars!
Nick decides his final act as Club Enforcer will be to save a life for once, he has no idea that he’ll be doing much more than that.
Fun, gritty, sexy and easy, Happy Birthday was a good surprise. This was my first B.D. Roca book and I was happy to have a chance to read a MM MC romance story since they are few and far between. While it was short it packed a punch and had me hooked from the very start.
I enjoyed the fact that Nick was disheartened by his life and purpose in the club. This isn’t a book glorifying the Club and what it’s caused Nick to become. Nick is on a dark path and desperately trying to end it all. This is different and it brought something new to the theme adding to its appeal.
Combine this with the incredible chemistry between Nick and Jake and it makes Happy Birthday truly entertaining. I definitely recommend this one.
