Series: Grim Sinners MC #1
Author: LeAnn Ashers
Genre: MC Romance/Suspense
Release Date: November 16, 2017
I'm fucked.
I'm fucked, plain and simple.
How am I fucked, you ask? This tattooed, bearded alpha popped into my life and took it over, driving me insane.
Am I complaining? Hell no.
Do I love him? Yes, more than anything—and his daughter too.
Lane is everything to me. He came into my life when I needed him the most. I just didn’t know it at the time. He completes me. He is someone I have waited for my whole life.
Lane
I am so fucking fucked. This five-foot-two, feistier-than-shit woman came into my life and knocked me on my ass.
She brings out every protective instinct I have, and I’m ready to go nuclear if someone even looks at her.
I love two people in this world more than life itself: Amelia and my daughter, Tiffany.
Someone made the biggest fucking mistake of their life by trying to take them both away. Game on.
3 Stars
Unfortunately, Lane fell short for me and I think it’s time for me to throw in the towel. While I didn’t dislike Techy or Butcher, I didn’t love them. I thought maybe this could be the story for me but in the end, it wasn’t.
What I Loved: I thought Lane was great with his 8-year-old daughter. Those were some of the best parts of the story for me, I adored reading about their relationship. There is just something that I love about a badass Alpha man, an intimidating character who shows his soft and sweet side for his child. From making pancakes before school to the picture of Lane brushing and braiding her hair, to the glimpse into her future. Lane is a great dad.
What I Liked: this is definitely a fast and easy read. Things aren’t overly drawn out and it’s the kind of story you can read in a few hours.
What I Didn’t Like: frankly, I was not a fan of the relationship between Amelia and Lane and the way they started off. It just was too fast for me and didn’t quite feel right. Amelia’s initial encounter and the reaction she had, were too much. Not the type of situation I generally like.
I know Amelia was supposed to come off as a badass but I thought she was a tad on the annoying side. I didn’t dislike her but I definitely did not love her. The two had good chemistry and could be hot, I just wanted more.
