I don't know that I've ever read a book that has a more appropriate title than this one! Rushing Love is a short novella with instalove and an age gap trope. Flynn goes on vacation to a dude ranch after his relationship of 19 years ended. He's nursing a broken heart, depressed and needs a change of scenery. Flynn would like to wallow in his misery but he meets Grayson a man who's 15 years younger than him, charming and attractive. Grayson doesn't care that Flynn isn't from around there, or that he's nursing a broken heart. He wants Flynn and actively pursues him and doesn't hide what he wants. Within days Grayson and Flynn find love and Flynn is making arrangements to leave his whole life behind.
This is one of those novellas that had it been expanded more, I could have loved. I don't mind instalove stories, as long as there is more story to develop the relationship but with novellas, you don't get that development and I think it was really needed with this one. I loved the whole family dude ranch concept and would have loved to have read more about it. Some of the characters on the ranch didn't make sense, and I feel like further development of those characters would have helped us understand them better. For example, Grayson's brother was always worried about appearance and professionalism and not making trouble for the ranch, but his behavior was the least professional behavior of everyone. I just wondered why would he act so unprofessional, especially in front of guests on the ranch.
This is a novella you should check out for yourself, especially if you like cowboys and instalove stories. The author also does a great job of providing information on the local area where the story takes place, which was really interesting.

Definitely rushed love. I'm weird about instalove because sometimes I like it (shifters, fated mates, etc...) and then other times, I'm not a fan. This time it just didn't work for me. My biggest problem with it is the fact that Flynn just broke up with his boyfriend of 19 years and he's 36. He meets Grayson who immediately wants Flynn but it bothers Flynn because Grayson is only 21. Over and over and over we have to hear about Flynn thinking Gray is too young for him. In reality I felt Flynn did not come off as 36, I thought maybe 30 tops. I kept trying to do the math in my head to figure out how Flynn and his boyfriend had been together for 19 years because honestly Flynn and his best friend Sean seemed to act like twenty year olds most of the time.
I finished it but honestly I was left rolling my eyes at it. After 2 days, these two are so sure they're going to make it that Flynn changes his whole life. It was not realistic in my mind and it made it nearly impossible to connect to it.
