Book Review: Jumpstart (Crossroads 3.5) by Riley Hart
Blurb:
Motocross star, Beckett Monroe, is in need of some serious R&R. Not only to adjust to his new out-of-the-closet status, but in hopes of reigniting his passion for motocross. To his surprise, support shows up in the way of Christian Foster, his childhood best friend and first love. Spending time with Christian is the jumpstart Beck’s heart needs. But even if Christian can forgive Beckett for hurting him years ago, do they stand a chance against all the obstacles in their path?
5 Stars
I've had this book for a while now. I wanted to dive in as soon as I one-clicked it, but I couldn't make myself do it. I wasn't ready for this series to be over. I'm still not, but I wanted to meet Quinn since he's the star of Riley's next book.
Second chances is my absolute favorite trope. I love that you don't have the awkward meeting and getting-to-know-you stage of the relationship. Riley did an amazing job at letting us see what happened in the past between Beckett and Christian, while keeping us firmly planted in the present and moving forward.
I loved Beck and Chris. They were lovable characters that you wanted to root for. You want them to mend their broken hearts and finally get that HEA. The story is well-written, paced well and filled with friendship, laughter, love, acceptance and just a little angst to keep it interesting, as well as smoking hot sex! I absolutely LOVED getting a small glimpse at the other characters from this series!
This has been my favorite series by this author so far and I'll definitely be revisiting it in the future. Highly recommended!!
