Pop idol Matisse Vervein is roped into helping Detective Inspector Josh Ingram catch an art thief who killed Josh's partner a few years ago.
Okay, so I loved Matisse, other than being closeted, he was a fun character to read. I loved that even if he was a pop star, there was a whole lot more to him than just that. Josh, well, I liked him, he was all gruff and grieving the death of his friend, but he seemed off his game a bit. Actually, a lot, seeing as if it hadn't been for Matisse they really wouldn't have caught their thief.
While there was a lot of push and pull, mostly from Josh, since Matisse wasn't as reticent even if he was the closeted one, they had great chemistry both in and out of the bedroom.
Overall, this is a pretty solid read, fun, interesting and action-packed, however, there were a few things that were glossed over and I felt the art-thief case was left a bit open-ended, so I hope this isn't the last we see of Josh and Matisse so we can get a bit of closure in that regard. Other than that, it was a great book and one I'm happy to recommend!
