Re-Release Blog Tour: Gay For Pay by TM Smith (Review, Guest Post & Giveaway)

Gay for Pay was originally published in 2015. Flash forward nearly 3 years later and I have learned so much, become more comfortable as a writer and I'm writing better stories for my readers. So, my editor and I decided to go back to the book that started it all. It was the first book we worked on together and it was the first book in the now wildly popular All Cocks stories. I guess you could say we've come full circle.

Gay for Pay is the first book in TM Smith's All Cocks series. This book was originally published in 2015 followed by an audiobook in 2016. I've read the first version of this book a couple times and have listened to the audiobook so I feel like I'm pretty familiar with it. The author is re-releasing this book with edits and updates. There was a flashback inserted showing what happened when Chris went to court as a teenager but I didn't notice any other additions to the storyline that weren't there previously. Maybe they just fit into the book seamlessly and didn't draw my attention to them like the flashback did. I was worried once I hit that one that there would be more flashbacks inserted (personally, I'm not a fan of them), but that was not the case. Otherwise, the story remains the same.

Because of his poor decision making as a teenager, Chris is unable to find a job and has spent years living on his best friend's couch, supporting himself with money left to him by his grandfather. But when he decided to check out a bar and found a flyer advertising for gay porn stars, he decides he has nothing to lose. Though Chris is nervous about being a gay porn star since he's straight, he really doesn't have a lot of issues with his chosen profession. There's some hesitancy, some questioning but not as much as you would think. No worries about angst over this career choice. Chris fits in with the All Cocks family easily, and friendships develop. For the most part, this story only involves Chris' POV. Sometimes there's a line or two from someone else, but it's mainly Chris' story. Unexpectedly for Chris, he finds himself attracted to one of his male co-workers. Linc and Chris spend some time getting to know each other, and begin dating and move quickly into a relationship.

I like the characters in this book, and the future ones. I'm a fan of this series and have been from the first time I read this book. I've read all the books and listened to every audiobook that's been released. I definitely recommend this series. I think it's a series that shows the building of a chosen family from the very first book. There's a lot of love, support, encouragement within these pages. So, if you've never read the series, you really should give it a chance.

Rating: 4 stars

Song and Scene

Chapter 20 | Meet and Greet

A new song floated through the club and Linc started bouncing on his toes. “I love this song! Dance with me?” he said as if he were asking Chris, already dragging him through the bodies toward the area where everyone was dancing. Chris recognized the song, “Talking Body” by Tove Lo; it was a song he too liked. He expected Linc to turn around once they reached the dance floor, but he didn’t, he backed up into him and started dancing to the beat.

Everyone else in the crowded club disappeared as soon as Linc was up against him, grinding his ass back against Chris’s groin. Linc reached back and wrapped his hands around Chris’s neck, pulling him close. It caused Linc’s back to arch so he laid his head back on Chris’s shoulder, slowly gyrating his hips. Chris ran his hands around in front of Linc, holding his body against him by bracing his hands on Linc’s thighs, digging his fingers in. They moved in sync, matching the rhythm of the music with every shake and thrust of their hips. All Chris could see, hear or feel was the music and Linc. He leaned down and gently bit Linc’s shoulder, still moving his hips, keeping pace with Linc and the song. Linc moaned loud enough that even over the bass that was rattling the windows Chris heard it, and it made his dick even harder.

The beat slowed as did the verse of the song and Linc slowly turned around in Chris’s arms. He ran his hands around Chris’s body, slipping them into the back pocket of Chris’s jeans. As soon as their hips made contact, they were moving in sync with each other and the music again. Chris ran his hands up Linc’s chest, grabbing the collar of Linc’s shirt and jerking him closer. He mouthed the words of the chorus as he stared into Linc’s lustful eyes: If you love me right, we fuck for life, on and on and on.

Their foreheads and noses were touching, lips impossibly close. Chris barely brushed his lips over Linc’s, pulling back when Linc moved forward in an attempt to seal them together. Linc brought his arms up, wrapping them around Chris’s neck before running his fingers through the unruly auburn locks. He smiled down at Linc as he bent and brushed his lips over Linc’s again, this time briefly making contact. The kiss was short and chaste; Chris pulled back when he was loudly reminded that they weren’t alone by a room full of cheering, clapping, screaming people. They were so wrapped up in each other, neither one of them realized the song had ended.
