2017 DSP Advent Stocking Stuffer Review: The Storm's Gift by A.D. Ellis

Title: The Storm's Gift
Author: A.D. Ellis
Category: Holiday, Contemporary
Pages: 34

Snowed in together in their college dorm, two men share a quick connection that creates enough heat to spar with the blizzard outside.
Rory Blackwell plans to rejuvenate his mind and repair his battered heart after his world is shaken by an unexpected breakup. James Austin’s freshman-year plans of improving his social life crashed and burned, leaving him feeling as alone and outcast as he did back home.
One man is hurting while the other is eager to provide comfort. One is a virgin, the other experienced with other men. Both are looking forward to Winter Break, but can they take full advantage of their situation—or will the passion ignited between them fizzle out with the storm?

5 Stars

James is planning to go home for Christmas break, but having to finish an exam last minute leaves him stranded at school with just the RA, Rory. Rory had big plans to hunker down and spend Christmas break in his dorm at school relaxing, but he has to get everyone out of the dorm and on their way home first. Will having James for company be a true gift or will it be like getting coal in his stocking?

This is probably one of my favorite A.D. Ellis books. I absolutely loved both James and Rory and although the progression of their relationship is quick, it still managed to feel natural and organic. The chemistry between them was off the charts and the sex was sweet, yet passionate and smoking hot!!

My heart broke for James and how heartbroken he was to not be able to get home to his family. I just wanted to give him a big hug, but I loved that Rory was there to comfort him.

The story is well-written and flowed well and my only complaint was that I wanted more, in a good way! Very recommendable!!
