AotM ~ Leaning Into Love by Lane Hayes (Review + Giveaway)

Leaning Into Love

Eric Schuster is a successful guy. He’s part owner of a highly successful tech firm, he has a supportive family and a great group of close friends. But something is missing. Or maybe he’s reacting to his business partner and ex’s wedding news. He knows his former lover is making a big mistake but he also knows it’s time to move on. And hopefully avoid falling for another friend.

Zane Richards is an avid sailor and surfer with a laid-back approach to life. He firmly believes there’s a time and place for everything if you’re willing to take a chance. Like letting his best friend know he’s interested in being much more than friends. Eric has always been half in love with Zane but going from friends to lovers isn’t an easy sell for someone protecting his heart. Eric will have to decide if he’s willing to risk it all by leaning into love.

4.5 Stars!

Leaning Into Love is definitely an enjoyable read. It's shorter and less angsty than the typical Lane Hayes book but still embodies her wonderful talent for creating amazing characters. I loved both Eric and Zane and thought they were perfect for one another. I would really enjoy getting to see more of them in subsequent books.

I also have to say I'm anxious to see what's to come for their friends, especially Nick. He came off as a self-centered jerk a lot of the time but sometimes those characters make the best stories. He'll be able to redeem himself and hopefully provide lots of entertainment for us as we read about the one who will flip his world upside down. I just hope we get plenty of Zane and Eric at the same time.

Overall, I definitely recommend Learning Into Love. If you're a Lane Hayes fan then I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Short, easy and full of sexual tension. A great "friends to lovers" story.

  2. Thank you for the review Jaymie the book sounds really good and is going on my wish list. Friends to Lovers is one of my favourite tropes as I read the story I always wonder what will be the turning point of the story when the MC's realise they both feel the same.

  4. Thank you for the review! I love the moments when the friends realize that they want more than friendship and try to figure out if and when they should let the other know. The first kiss after that is always fabulous too.

  5. Thank you for the review. My favorite part of friends to lovers is the moment when the two guys realize they have feelings for each other. That it is more than friendship and then to react and act upon it.

  7. Thank you for the review. I like an age gap. I enjoy when opposites attract. I love that they know each other before they fall in love. colby69@verizon.net

  8. My favorite part of friends-to-lovers is when the friendship becomes romantic. First kisses are so magical!

  9. It is MINIMIZE insta-love because they're friends, they have known one another for longer that "insta-lust/insta-love" timeline. Plus I think when one moves from friendship to something more, it feels magical :)
