3.5 Stars!
Reid is the quintessential Alpha. After an accident leaves him hurt and in need of a home nurse, he discovers he’ll need help emotionally/mentally as well as physically in order to come to terms with the loss and grief he’s still dealing with from his past.
Mila is a sweet and understanding nurse tasked with helping Reid. She's a single mom to the young and adorable Ava, who I couldn’t help falling in love with. Her compassion pulls Reid in immediately and when it becomes obvious she will need help Reid and the MC are there to step in and help.
Honestly, Mila and Reid's story was quite sweet. They had good chemistry and seemed to fit well together. Both were the perfect balance for the other and made a great little family. Reid needed what Ava and Mila brought to his life and they needed him, too.
I thought the writing was pretty good and the whole thing flowed well. I liked that there were some twists along the way but, in truth, I wanted a bit more. I love dark and gritty especially when it comes to MC books. I think I would have liked to see more here.
Overall, I’d recommend it to fans of the series.
