Captain Merric first appeared as short story in a pirate-themed anthology. Now completely rewritten and extended he is ready to set sail again.
Rebecca Cohen is a Brit abroad. Having swapped the Thames for the Rhine, she has left London behind and now lives with her husband and young son in Basel, Switzerland. She can often be found with a pen in one hand and a cup of Darjeeling in the other.

I actually don't like pirates that much. I'm not into the glorifying of criminals. If the pirates really aren't bad people, I can still enjoy a story about them though.

I haven't read many pirate stories but I suppose I like that they're usually portrayed as a bit ruthless but they have their moments of being merciful.

I love pirate stories. As a kid (after reading Treasure Island, etc.), I loved swashbuckling with a stick as a sword and rope swing my halyard. I love historicals, their roguish nature, and then when I found out about GAY pirate stories, oh my! - Purple Reader,
