Blurb:

A therapist once told Martin Stevens that being gay was the only thing that saved him from being the most boring man alive. He spends his daytime working a dead-end job and his nights still pining after the ex-fiance who left him five years ago. When his older brother, Daniel, takes him to see a touring musical, a mishap sends superstar performer Alec Jameson flying off the stage right into Martin’s lap. It’s love at first sight. But can that love withstand the scrutiny of the press, a shock-jock radio personality bent on causing trouble, and the return of Martin’s overbearing ex-fiance?

3 Stars

When Martin's brother takes him to the theater for his birthday, he never expected the star of the musical to literally come flying off the stage and into his lap. But that's just what happens when Alec slips and goes careening off the stage. To thank him, Alec asks to take Martin out to lunch. Martin is attracted to Alec instantly, but after being put down so often by his ex, he is unable to believe at first that Alec is really attracted to him.

This was a short, quick and easy feel good read, with a bit of angst. It's very instalove, which truly doesn't work all that well. As much as the characters were likable, the story is too rushed and the connection isn't quite there. I think the story needed more.

All in all, it was enjoyable and recommendable!
