Callum Ross has a tough decision to make. After years of working for the covert ops agency in the UK and owning his own security firm in the US, he’s forced to choose between the business he loves, and the new fragile relationship with his partner, Josh Cooper.

A bottle of whiskey and almost being killed by a motorbike helps Cal make the decision, and he moves to the UK with plans to set up his own security consultancy. Then the head of the covert ops agency where Josh now works asks Cal for help. Agency operatives and their families are being injured or killed, including Cal’s friends.

Cal is asked to investigate with Josh’s assistance. As the number of victims increase, they’re aware either of them could be the next target for the killer. Josh wants Cal to back away from the investigation in case he gets hurt, but Cal refuses, putting a strain on their relationship.

Then they discover the motorbike incident wasn’t an accident. Who tried to kill him, and why?

4.5 Stars!!!

Goodnight My Angel is book 2 in the Angel Enterprises series and it needs to be read in order. Morning My Angel was awesome, so if you haven't read it yet, do it now. I promise you'll love it!

Goodnight My Angel is told in Callum's POV and starts a few weeks after the first book, with Cal still in Seattle and Josh in London working with the Agency since they can't work together at CDR. Cal hasn't decided yet if he should leave his security firm in the US but is heavily leaning toward doing just that since he can't stay away from Josh for much longer, especially since Josh refuses to takes his calls. When he learns that Josh had a suspicious accident, Cal leaves everything and moves back to London. Once there, he agrees to help the Agency as a consultant when he learns that there have been several operatives and their families injured or killed. From there, it's a race against time to discover who is behind it all before they kill or injure anyone else.

I loved getting Cal's POV and seeing how his mind works, how concerned for everyone he was and how well he works with Josh and the rest of the guys. I loved Josh, too. And I was very happy that Sue Brown managed to recapture the electric chemistry between Cal and Josh and add an extra layer as their love grew.

The mystery of who was behind the deaths and injuries was riveting and while I had my suspicions, which were confirmed later in the book, I was still surprised with some of the plot twists. I can't say I'm happy about the way the book ended, but, hopefully, Ms. Brown will hurry up and write, write, write so we won't be left hanging for too long? Pretty please?

All in all, definitely a must read! Well-written and fast-paced, with a well thought-out and detailed storyline that keeps getting better and better and engaging characters I can't enough of. Highly recommendable!!!
