Alpha Challenge
4 Stars!

Cute story with a bit of humor and two hot Alpha Bear Shifters. A fun read for sure. I enjoyed it but definitely would have been happier had it been longer and the characters more developed.

Challenge The Sun
4 Stars!

I absolutely adore Deja Black. Her stories are always unique and entertaining, while also easy to read. Winter Love was short, sweet and quick. Very little angst, a pretty steamy sex scene, a don’t blink or you’ll miss it action scene and some sweet words are ingredients that make up this story.

My opinion, however, is that while yes I was entertained, I honestly wished there was more to the story. Had it been longer with more character development and more time spent watching the two men interact and their relationship progress, it would have been 10 times better. I just couldn’t lose myself to the story or truly fall in love with the characters because I didn’t really know them. I didn’t have time to grow invested in them or to actually care about them and their relationship. I didn’t really get to see why they were so perfect for one another or what their lives looked like before meeting or after.

There was a ton of potential for a fantastic story here so I’m not discounting what I read. I just want more. I want to delve deeper. I’m a Deja Black Fan so I’ll keep picking up her books and recommending them to readers, though I’ll be anxiously waiting and hoping for the next one to be an absolute gem.

Liam
3 Stars!

As with all of the stories, Liam was much too short for me. I have never read anything from Suede Delray so I felt a bit like I was trying to get a feel for the story and the writing but I just couldn’t connect.

Melting his Fiery Heart
3 Stars!

Charlie Richards is an author I am familiar with and definitely someone who knows how to pace out a short story or novella. The writing was good and I’m sure a lot of people will enjoy this one, especially fans of Richards. For me, the issue I had with it was that I just kept getting confused with who was who (not sure why). It left me feeling disconnected and a bit blah in the end.
