Escape with Shaun and Mitch in outback Australia as they discover it sometimes takes time, distance, and interfering family to help them realign.

After eight years of living in America, it’s time for Shaun to return home to his family’s farm in outback Australia. He has a decision to make: continue working his dream job with NASA or move back for a corporate job and his family.

He thinks his decision is easy.

He thinks he’s going to have a fun two weeks at home catching up.

He also thinks seeing his best friend, Mitch, will finally allow him to move on from that one hot kiss they shared the day he left.

Shaun realises he’s truly screwed as what he thinks and what he knows don’t always align.

Realigned is a fun and steamy M/M short story in Becca Seymour’s Coming Home series. Stand-alone romances complete with heat, wit, and happily ever afters.

3.5 Stars

A short, sweet tale of two friends who get a second chance.

This is a very short tale but it works as the leads have history and a genuine friendship, i.e., the kind of friendship where you can be out of touch for ages and ages but when you meet up again, you pick up where you left off as if you'd never been apart.

There's not a lot to the tale, as the guys are only together for about a week whilst one is home for a short trip, but they share good times, fun, food, some memories and admissions, and the guy who came home agrees to stay.

I don't think the words I Love You were actually used direct to each other, but at the same time, I didn't feel like they needed it and I wasn't sure it would be Aussie-like to say so? That's just me asking a question, as Aussies seem to be go-with-the-flow types and this worked for them. For me, though, this tale lacked something - maybe a little of the guys' plans? Maybe a little snapshot of them and stuff working out? Maybe a little more belief that they were heading towards their HEA, because to me this felt like a HFN.

Becca Seymour lives and breathes all things book related. Usually with at least three books being read and two WiPs being written at the same time, life is merrily hectic. She tends to do nothing by halves so happily seeks the craziness and busyness life offers.

Living on her small property in Queensland with her human family as well as her animal family of cows, chooks, and dogs, Becca appreciates the beauty of the world around her and is a believer that love truly is love.
