CRIMSON STORM
EXCERPT

Shaver wanted to hide, wanted more to throw up, but most of all, he wanted to march
across the short distance and kiss the wolf he loved. Aware of every eye in the room, Shaver
took the first step in Khad’s direction. A few more and he stood in front of Khad. He looked
into the eyes he knew as well as he knew his own and every need or want he had vanished.
Khad was scared. It was there in his gaze as clearly as if he spoke the words aloud.

Shaver lifted a hand and skimmed his knuckles over Khad’s jawline. A baseball sized lump
formed in his throat when Khad turned into the touch and nuzzled his palm with his nose.
“I’m so happy for you, Khadlyn. Your nightmares are over. Your dreams have come to
claim you. You’re going to meet your mother, see your true home. The world is waiting for
you. Show them that those bastards didn’t break you.”

Shaver’s hand fell back to his side. His breath faltered and his heart thudded hard against
his ribs.

“Goodbye, Khad. Be safe and take care of yourself.”
Leaning in, he brushed his lips lightly over Khad’s mouth. I love you. He screamed the
words inside his head. With a shaky smile, he stepped back and then turned away. Every step
away from Khad was torture. He made it all the way to the storage room before he simply
could not take another step. He sank to the floor and buried his face in his hands. The tears
refused to fall. Noises filtered through the doors and walls. He knew the moment, Khad left
Iniquity. Then, the tears found their release.

What was your inspiration for Laziel and Malachi?

V.L.:     The pictures of how we perceive our characters are an inspiration in themselves. However, the inspiration for Laziel and Malachi actually started out with Vischeral and Copi's story. But, the more we wrote, the more characters we added. The voices were screaming to be heard. We had already started a story on wolves which amalgamated into this series, and before we knew it…a star had been born. LOL.

J.T.:     The super sexy David Gandy has always been the face in my head when I write Malachi. He has this amazing fierce brooding expression that exactly mirrors my Lachi. V.L. chose the gorgeous Marcus Schenkenberg and he fits Laziel perfectly. His photos are lively and fun and run the gamut from fun and flirty to serious and bold. There wasn't really any other inspiration except those photos, the voices in our heads and our imagination.

We've included some yummies to add excitement to your day. Some of our cast of character avatars are:

Malachi Denali - David Gandy
Laziel Denali - Marcus Schenkenberg
Vischeral Bourne - Gabrial Garko
Copi Dane - Justin Clynes
Dr. Bastian "Rhys" DeRhys - Shemar Moore
Arial Nathanial  - Jason Momoa
Shaver Drakos - Chris Pine
Khadlyn Chamberlin - Justin Zabinski
Tobias Chamberlin - Chris Brown (no the other one lol)
Roman Chamberlin - Tyler Hoechlin

5 Little Known Facts about the Crimson Saga

Hello lovelies! We are wicked excited to be visiting with you today. We hope you're all having a fantabulous day! Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to be here and for supporting this series that is very near and dear to our hearts.

Today we're going to be a bit insightful and mysterious and tell you five little tidbits about the Crimson Nights Saga that you might not know. We've been working on this series as a whole for almost six years. The origins of the story gives us most of the little kernels we will be sharing with you today.

Although Lachi and Laz are the centerpiece of this story, they were not where this series began. Vischeral Bourne and Cophious "Copi" Dane were written well before Lachi and Laziel were put on the page. Their story starts midway through Crimson Reign; however, all of their story was written as a stand alone. When we started this series, Vischearl and Copi's story was written right up to the moment where Copi woke up as a hybrid. Which leads to the next revelation.

The Crimson Nights Saga is the combination of four separate story ideas. Lachi and Laz had their story, Vischeral and Copi was nearly done, Arial and Bastian had been started and the wolves of Thunder Bay were almost halfway done. When we decided to combine the four sets of characters, it blew everything out of the water. Connections were made. Arial became Laziel's best friend. Sage became part of a much bigger storyline and Tobias and Khad became brothers. Plot lines blurred and they became crystal clear. But, one of the most far reaching connections came between Vischeral and Lachi.

When we decided (or rather when the voices told us) that Lachi and Vischeral were going to be friends, the plot and characterization of the Saga took a twist. We all know what happened in Crimson Reign when Vischeral dared to kiss Lachi. Heaven's fury struck him down. Their friendship became a bone of contention between Laziel and Lachi and led to numerous changes in the storyline. Although we see in Crimson Storm that Laziel has shown compassion to Vischeral's offspring, it's pretty safe to say…Laziel does NOT like Vischeral Bourne or DD as he is prone to calling him. And DD, that stands for dark and dismal.

Our fans and readers who've been with us from day one may remember this next one, or may have put two and two together. Laziel has always been…well…Laziel, except, of course, when he's Loz. Lachi, however, was originally named Savage. Due to some outside issues and negativity, we chose to change his name to Malachi. The angel, being his sparkly, spunky self-decided to shorten that to Lachi and it stuck, much to our delight.

And, for the big finale, the ending of the last book is yet to be decided. Everything is still up in the air. As with any story, things can change based on what the characters tell us or how the plot twists. So, even though we believe we have an ending even as we write this, things can change depending on the actions of our characters and what they demand of us as the writing process continues.

We hope you've enjoyed your little visit with us. We look forward to hearing what you think about Crimson Storm and the entire series as a whole. Thank you for visiting with us and have a fabulous day/night/afternoon/evening.
