BLURB

After he's kicked out for being gay, still reeling from being abandoned by the man he loves, Jude goes to live with his brother Beck, who thankfully is more than happy to take him in. But Jude has other secrets he's yet to share, for fear that even Beck will reject him, leaving him well and truly alone.
Then he draws the attention of werewolves, and discovers that everything he thought he knew about Levi, the man who abandoned him, is a lie. But one lie leads to another, ending in a vast conspiracy that threatens to destroy everything Jude loves—and that doesn't even begin to include the challenges that Beck is facing.

TEASER

In a time when he'd lost the essence of who he was, he'd held onto a different hope, wanting desperately to belong to them. He'd been adrift, directionless when the life he'd been born to was wrenched from him. After he'd been newly made, Ramiel and Hydra had been there to help him heal and become accustomed to his body. For their patience and soft regard, he would ever be grateful. However, he sensed there was more to come. This easy existence with his lovers was not for him. Now, more often than not, he stared at the horizon yearning for something he could not name.

One of the creatures broke away from the pack, looking up the cliffside to where he perched, moving from four legs to two. The being stood staring up as if he could see who watched them. Lifting his muzzle, the creature howled, long and lonely.

Eyulf raised his head and gave back a warbled howl of his own, responding to the question he heard there, saying, "Yes, I hear you. I, too, sting with lonesome's pain, my friend."

All too soon, he had to hurry home and crawl between two warm bodies, painfully aware he did not belong.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

AuthorPic

Lexi has always been an avid reader, and at a young age started reading (secretly) her mother’s romances (the ones she was told not to touch). She was the only teenager she knew of who would be grounded from reading. Later, with a pencil and a note book, she wrote her own stories and shared them with friends because she loved to see their reactions. A Texas transplant, Lexi now kicks her boots up in the Midwest with her Yankee husband and her eighty-pound puppies named after vacuum cleaners.
