Prologue
KADEN BARKER swiped the back of his dirt-covered hand over his eyes to brush away his tears as the preacher finished saying his words over Tobias Wilson’s coffin. For the past few years, Tobias had been like another father to him, and it was hard to admit that the old gentleman was really gone now.
Beside him, his two best friends, Trent and Samuel, put a hand on each of his shoulders. They’d all grown to know and love him over the last few years working on Tobias’s dairy farm, but it was Kaden who had been closest to him and who had taken care of him toward the end.
“It doesn’t feel real,” Trent whispered beside him.
Kaden shook his head. It was all so surreal. Tobias had been slowly declining for the past several months, but Kaden never expected to go into Tobias’s room and find him lying there motionless on the bed. “He’d been smiling with us only the night before.” There was no warning. Tobias went up to bed, and the three of them stayed downstairs in the living room talking and watching late-night TV.
He had no idea what to say to make his best friends okay again. He wasn’t even sure if he was really ready to process Tobias’s death himself yet. But they still had their contracts on the farm, for now, and the few hundred dairy cows in the pastures behind them weren’t going away anytime soon.
The cool evening breeze whipped through his hair before he put his hat back on and came forward to lay his hand on Tobias’s coffin. There were people from the funeral home standing nearby, respectfully waiting while they said their good-byes to Tobias before they would lower him into the ground.
“Good-bye, old man,” Kaden gently said as he leaned down to place a kiss on the coffin. “Thank you for giving three Kiwis a chance.”

The last thing Bran ever wanted was to return to his grandfather's farm in Montana. However, the terms of his will state that Bran can't sell the farm in the next five years, unless he remains working on it for 30 days under Kaden's orders.
Kaden and his friends Samuel and Trent have been working at the Wilson's farm for a while, taking care of Bran's grandfather, and they are not happy with the man that is intent on selling the land his ancestors have worked so hard for. Instant dislike and attraction are at war between Kaden and Bran and only one can win.
I loved Kaden, he was a fantastic, well-rounded character. Strong, reliable, determined to do the right thing, both for his late employee and his friends no matter what or who he had to go against. On the other hand, we have Bran, who came across as spoiled, selfish and immature from the start, although to be fair, he kind of redeemed himself in the end. Which was my main problem with this book since it wasn't until around 90% or so of the book that I began to see a real change in Bran, one that actually made me think, okay, he might not be so bad after all, when I'd been disliking him from the moment he showed up in the story. I can't deny that the sex scenes between Kaden and Bran were hot, but it was a bit difficult for me to understand why Kaden was fighting so hard for Bran, when Bran wasn't doing himself any favors by how he acted.
I really liked Samuel, Chris, Trent and Misha and hope to see more of them in the next books in the series.
The book was good, very entertaining, I really liked the truth or dare games the guys played, although they generally ended up in disaster! And while it took me a bit, at the end I was rooting for Kaden and Bran to get their HEA. Recommendable!
