Max is aware of his error in not tying up that loose end, one Wyatt Jackson. He just didn't think the man had it in him to bite back. Not after everything that happened to him over a year ago. But when Asher goes missing and the former Congressman takes the credit for the kidnapping, Max comes up with a few plans of his own. The only problem is, this time, those well thought out, perfectly planned, sequence of events that were supposed to defeat the bad guy and get Asher back in his protective arms, did not play out as perfectly as Max thought they would. And because of that, this time, neither Asher nor Max may make it out alive.
About the Poem
For both Until You and the sequel I Believe Now I wrote poems to start off the stories. With Until You, the poem is actually “written” by Max Tyler and for I Believe Now, Asher does the honor. Of course, Max doesn’t “sign” his like Asher does, but you can’t help but know it is him. Both poems appear at the beginning of the stories.
I really liked the fact I had poems to start these off. I think it gives an aura of romance to the story as you go in. For Asher, in this sequel, I also think it gives the reader knowledge of how Asher is feeling at the beginning of this story. He is finally giving in to his desire for Max. He is finally beginning to accept that some things just are not going to make sense in life.
I actually wrote poems for a few others of my stories, too, like Ladders. That one appears in the book at the beginning. I also wrote one for Baby, Think it Over but did NOT put it in the book. I’ll put it on the website though at some point.

I Believe Now
The path I am on has not always been clear; the light oftentimes has been weak.
Even though I struggle sometimes just to see, I believe now it's your darkness I seek.
I've tried to pull back when I'm moving too fast, to figure out where this path leads.
But I look in your eyes so strong and so sure, and I believe now it's your pace I need.
I have stood up against very hard winds, and have fallen time after time.
But your hand on my shoulder has given me faith,
And I believe now that your strength is mine.
I've been afraid of the dark but it's been in your shadow, where I have felt safe and secure.
With your arms all around me, your presence surrounds me,
I believe now that your way is sure.
I sometimes wake up in the dead of the night, and reach out to where you should be.
I grasp then at air, with a fear you're not there, and I believe now the need is with me.
For this path I am on, though fear dogs my steps and panic seems but one breath away.
You have only to whisper 'be strong' in my ear, and I believe in you more every day.
Though I've bargained with fate and gambled with luck,
Seeking redemption from all that I've done,
I was alone on this ledge until you came along, because I believe now it's your heart I've won.

Hurri Cosmo lives in Minnesota where she holds tight to the idea that there, where it’s cold a good part of the year, she won’t age as fast. Yep, she avoids the truth as much as she avoids mirrors. But one of the reasons she loves writing is reality doesn’t always offer up a “happily ever after” and being able to take control of that is a powerful lure. Oh, she doesn’t mind “real life” and she does try to at least keep it in mind when she writes her stories, but she truly loves creating a wonderful couple, knowing they will fall in love and have their HEA. Give her a glass of red wine, some dark chocolate, and her computer, whether she is reading or writing, and she will entertain herself for hours. The fact she actually gets paid to do it is Snickers bars on the frosting on the cake.
