Blurb:

They don’t play for the same team. Or do they?

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Ryan Wesley’s biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their relationship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he’ll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.

Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions—
can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend...and a big one to learn about himself.

Warning: contains sexual situations, hotties on hockey skates, skinnydipping, shenanigans in an SUV and proof that coming out to your family on social media is a dicey proposition.

Mari's Review:

*** ARC provided by the authors in exchanged of a fair and honest review. ***

I loved this book so much!!! This was a fantastic collaboration, it's flawless and both writing styles mesh so well that you can barely tell it's written by two authors, instead of just one.

Both Wes and Jamie are loveable characters, although I have to admit I was quite partial to Wes for at least half of the book. *cuddles Wes*

Wes and Jamie have known each other for a long time, and used to see each other every summer for hockey camp. They were best friends until one fateful night when a dare went a bit too far. After that night, a guilty-filled Wes cuts all communication with Jamie for four years, until they meet again for the national championship where both their colleges have reached the final four and they are able to clear the air. Wes decides to join Jamie at camp again, only as coaches this time, and the attraction between the two just explodes, only they have a lot going against them to make it work past this last summer together.

Wes is gay and has been in love with Jamie for a long time, and he's been feeling guilty that he forced his straight best friend into doing something he'll never forgive him about. Jamie is straight, but the experience with Wes was mindblowing, and he's more open minded than his friend might have imagined. He's angrier over Wes disappearing on him afterward and cutting him off, than of what happened between them, so having the chance to become friends again, he takes it. He is confused by his attraction to Wes, but he never hides it from his friend, he's pretty upfront about it all and more determined than Wes once he finally makes a decision. The chemistry between the two of them was unbelievable, too! And I really loved that they both were the jealous type, it made for some... ahem, interesting (and really hot) scenes afterward!

I adored being able to read both of their POVs throughout the story, as it made the experience richer, see them go through ups and downs and mend their friendship as it bloomed into something different, bigger and better was amazing and I adored every second of it. The book is fun, angsty, sexy, emotional, exciting and fantastic all-around, definitely recommendable and one of my new top favorites!

Rating: 5+ Mind-Boggling Stars!!!
