I am a huge fan of K.A. Mitchell. I like to read her books when I’m in the mood for a good steamy romance between two great men that isn’t boggled down with too much angst or conflict. That's what I got with this one.
Quinn is older, sexy, domineering (in a good way) with a soft side that made me wonder why anyone would want to walk away from him. He’s been in a relationship with Peter for ten years but is suddenly dumped when Peter decides he was never actually gay and now is going to be having a baby with a woman. He’s such a bastard, he even wants Quinn to be the Godfather of his baby.
Eli is fun, outrageous, overly confident at times but a loyal friend and protector. He can be tenacious which is what I really loved about him. Despite being younger than Quinn, he truly is what Quinn needs. Plus, his handling of Peter and Peter's family had me cheering and laughing the whole time.
Together these two men definitely light the sheets on fire. Their sex is steamy and passionate and ever so slightly kinky. This is not a vanilla couple but it suited their relationship quite well. I could totally feel the connection between them.
I wish it didn’t get so rushed at the end but it was definitely entertaining and I am glad I read it. I like this series quite a bit and I would recommend it.
