Series Tour Day 7 ~ Heated Ride by Chelsea Camaron ~ (Review + Teasers)
Day Seven: Heated Ride
Series: The Hellions Ride
Author: Chelsea Camaron
Genre: MC Romance
Cover Designer: Cover Me Darling
The Hellions motorcycle club is a commitment for life, one Ruben ‘Ruby’ Castillo believes in.  His wife Jenna ‘Vida’ Natera de Castillo has given her life to being his ol’ lady and the mother to their three children. She takes her commitment to her man seriously.  People change, and over time, passion can fizzle. Life for Jenna falls apart the day Ruby no long-er says I do.  Keeping the fires burning in a marriage is hard. Will the chaos of the club bring them back to-gether, or is it what pulls them further apart? Will these two find the flame again? Will their love find a new spark on their heated ride through life?

Ruby loves his wife Jenna and he still thinks of her as the most beautiful woman in the world even after 3 kids. Although he loves the life that he's built with his wife after struggling for something better than what they'd come from in Mexico, it feels like something is missing. Now all he wants is to feel like he and Jenna are connected the way they used to be. It's always about the kids and it hurts, he wants Jenna to want him with the same intensity she had since she was just a girl. Jenna loves Rueben with everything in her, she always has. Over the years, though, life has started to get in the way. Kids, jobs family obligations, all on top of trying to keep Rueben happy as well. Jenna has lost sight of who she is, who she once was. She doesn't want to give up the life she has but she knows things have to change. This is a story of re-discovery of love and one's true self. Sometimes we allow ourselves to get buried in life and forget what is truly important and to take care of ourselves. I think many women face the same things Jenna faced with our families and our marriages and relationships. That's what made this story relatable. We can understand what this couple is going through. I liked both Jenna/Vida and Rueben/Ruby, from the very beginning of the story you know that these two people love each other and you don't want their relationship to implode. Ruby has some moments where I wanted to smack him, he is a biker so I wasn't surprised by his actions really, but it still irked me sometimes. Jenna had her moments as well, but for the most part, I was able to understand her. While this is different than the rest of the series other than the obligatory outside conflict that the MC faces, it was definitely one of the books I liked the most. I'm not usually a huge fan of established relationships in books (I enjoy seeing how a couple gets together) but the way it was presented was well done. I'm glad we got a look at a couple that has had good times and bad but persevered in the life they live. Great job to Chelsea Camaron. 5 Stars!
