Sometimes forgiving is hard to do when you’re too stubborn to forget!

Bentley (Ben) Carter-Harrison survived a rough childhood by never letting his guard down, and never forgiving those who hurt him. So what is he supposed to do when his estranged father shows up out of nowhere asking for forgiveness? If you ask Ben, he’d say nothing. However, his down to earth husband, Ryder Harrison has a different point of view and thinks that maybe Ben is over reacting.

Not wanting to back down, Ben fights Ryder on rekindling his relationship with his father. When that doesn’t make him feel better, he starts fighting Ryder on everything else in their life. Things aren’t as easy as he thought it would be and it all ends up being too much for Ben. So, Ben does what he’s always done…he pushes Ryder away. Pushes him so hard in fact that Ryder turns to his long time crush and best friend Landon Pennington.
With their relationship in jeopardy and Ben’s father back in the picture, both Ryder and Ben have a lot at stake. They either learn to forgive or can forget about their happy ever after!

Excerpt

Sitting on the dock with our lines out in the water, I looked over at Landon, watching him rub his eyes with the heel of his hand. He was exhausted. I felt guilty. If I was in Montana more and not in California, I would be able to help pull some of the weight, so he wouldn’t have to work so hard.
“So, what’s the deal with Ethan?” I asked, slowly reeling in my line and casting it again.

Landon shrugged, doing the same. “He’s so fuckin’ smart. Last week, we had a kid get stuck in the birthing canal. He helped the momma deliver and didn’t even bat an eyelash.” He turned to look at me. “A few days later, he stitched up my horse when she cut herself on fencing. Saved Wyatt two vet bills in one week, but when it comes to throwing straw, he’s fucking clueless. I just don’t have the time to show him simple shit like that.” Landon set his pole in the holder attached to the dock and lay back, throwing his arm over his eyes.

The sun was shining bright in the early morning hours. It felt nice and was so pretty glistening off the water. I reeled in and cast one more time before setting my pole aside as well.
“Maybe he’s bored. He knows how to do doctor stuff. He don’t know shit about ranching.” I offered.
Landon turned his head, opening one eye to peer at me. “Maybe, but how do I get him to like it or even care? When he is at home, doing school work online, or being Betty homemaker, he's great.” Landon shook his head and covered his eyes again.

“Then let him do that. If you love him, let him do what feels right to him.” I didn’t know what else to say.

He nodded but didn’t say anything. I sat up and played with the little fish at the end of dock, feeding them the bait while Landon napped. He needed it, and if I were honest with myself, I wanted to avoid any further conversations about Ethan.

Tracy's Review:

5 Stars

Ben and Ryder enter into marriage in the Need to Touch, but will they have wedded bliss or a rocky road to travel? The answer is... definitely rocky. Marriage is not what either of them thought it would be. Combine that with Ryder's jealousy of Ethan, Ben's BFF and, things aren't going well for this couple.

This was a great read. I think it was better than book one. It felt the guys matured. This book felt more adult like, than New Adult. Ben and Ryder are out of the dorm's and trying to concur real life. The chemistry is still there, just as strong as book one, and the sex is still HOT!!
The book flows well and was well written. Told from alternating POV's I loved being inside both Ben and Ryder's head. I loved Ethan and Landon's parts of the book as well, and I'm hoping for their own story. One thing I have to say that I absolutely LOVED, was the beginning of the book was the final chapter from book one, So many times I forget what happened from one book to the next. (when you read 250 + books a year that happens lol)!!

Looking forward to the next leg of Ben and Ryder's journey and more books from these ladies in the future!

You can only win someone’s heart once you’ve captured it.

Nineteen year old Ryder Harrison grew up near a small town in Montana, working on the family’s ranch and in love with his best friend, Landon Pennington. That was until his Grandfather decided he needed to go to college in California. Ryder promised his Mom before she died that he would finish his education. Staying true to his word, Ryder packs his clothes, and heads to California, confident that it would all be one big disaster. The only thing he hadn’t planned on was meeting Bentley Carter.

Twenty year old Bentley Carter has enough emotional issues to write his own ‘How to Cope’ manual. Surviving an abusive childhood, he made a personal promise to always stay true to himself, and never let emotions overrule his common sense. Content with his current life and friend with ‘benefits’, Ben is determined to not let his new roommate affect him.

Uncertain about their places in the world, and with each other, Ryder and Ben struggle to understand the person who is not what they thought they wanted, yet who they are unable to live without. Living in a sometimes cruel and unforgiving world they are determined to embrace the reality of falling in love and the challenges that follow.

About the Authors:
Natalya
Natalya lives in Louisiana with her Bichon Frise, Napoleon. Natalya is a rather introverted bookworm who started reading at the age of four and has had her nose in a book ever since.

She loves spending time with her children and grandchildren. She believes in spoiling the grand-kids and then giving them back. One of Natalya's greatest pleasures is making gifts for her family. She enjoys many crafting hobbies, including sewing, crocheting, painting and whatever else happens to strike her fancy. She also enjoys watching a good movie.

Natalya has had stories rolling around in her head for years, and attempted to write them down from time to time, but it wasn't until Brooke asked Natalya to join her in her writing that Natalya started writing on an ongoing, regular basis. She has discovered that she loves it and letting the stories out of her head is a lot more fun than having them rolling around in it.

Brooke
Brooke  lives in Florida with her  girls, and many pets. When she is not working on finishing her current degree, she can be found fishing, coloring, or blowing bubbles with her kids. Just over a year ago, Brooke decided she wasn’t going to back down from her dreams, and started writing full time. With the encouragement of her family she is proud to be publishing her books for the world to read.

Brooke started reading later in life. Unlike many authors who have always had a special love for reading, Brooke didn’t pick up a book until she was in her late teens. She remembers wanting to find something to do with her mom, who has always been her best friend. One day her mom was talking about a romance novel that she just read. Not being interested in it all, Brooke gave in and read the book. She’s been her mom’s reading partner ever since. They can now sit and talk, laugh and even cry about all the books they have read over the years.

So, with great pride and honor, Brooke is happy to thank her mother for encouraging her to not only read, but to follow her heart, and write her own books. What started as simple poetry on scrap paper, at the age of seven, is now a dream come true. Brooke started writing but felt something was missing. When she started writing with Natalya , everything seemed to fall into place, and now here they are. Launching books, and writing more. This may be the first you see of them, but Brooke is determined that this won’t be last. Brooke is excited for you to meet their characters, and fall in love with the men that they have spent many hours with over the last year, just for you!!
