Blog Tour: TRUST by Ella Frank (Book 3 in The Temptation Series) ~ (Author interview, ARC Review, Excerpt + Giveaway)

TRUST
Ella Frank

Blurb

TRUSTverb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.

Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.

After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.

Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…

Excerpt

“What’s wrong with my hair? Are you saying I need to cut it?”
“No, I’m fucking not,” Logan said as he fingered the curls by Tate’s ear. “And you know it.”
“What would you do if I did shave my head?”
“Kill you? And likely get away with it since I have connections to a very reputable law firm.”
Tate chuckled and shoved Logan until he was on his back beside him. “Be serious.”
Logan turned his head on the pillow and ran his eyes over Tate’s full head of hair. Then he returned his gaze to the eyes watching him. “I would quite possibly cry. For days.”
“Over my hair? It does grow back, you know.”
“Yeah, but not for months,” he grumbled. “Can you please stop talking so calmly about this? You’re making me nervous.”
Tate shifted until his long, lean body was stretched out above him, and Logan widened his legs to allow him to settle in between.
“Don’t worry,” Tate assured him as he lowered his head to kiss the corner of his mouth. He then moved those teasing lips to Logan’s ear and whispered, “I like your hands in it too much to cut it off.”
Logan threaded his fingers through the thick waves and asked, “Like this?”
With a groan, Tate rocked his hips against him, and Logan twisted his fingers tighter.
Exactly like that.”
“Good,” he said as he wound his legs around Tate’s. “Because this way, I can have a tight hold on you when you’re trying to distract me. I’m onto you, Mr. Morrison. Don’t try to use your body against me.”
He almost lost his willpower when Tate, the cocky fucker, placed his hands on either side of his head and rubbed their erections together.
“You don’t want me to use my body on you?”
“Fuck you,” Logan said, knowing full well that, if he didn’t change the subject or get Tate the hell off him, he was going to roll him over and cease talking altogether.
Usually he’d love nothing more, but right now, he wanted to know why Tate had reacted so strongly to his question from last night—well, early morning.
“We need to talk.”

Mari’s Review

***ARC provided to Bayou Book Junkie in exchange for a fair and honest review.***

Perfection! This story was just about as perfect as I could have imagined.

From the moment I started reading Try almost a year and a half ago, I fell in love with Logan, and even if I didn’t think it was possible to love him more, Ella Frank managed to do it, by showing more of what made Logan the man he is in TRUST.

I adore Tate, too, but despite all he went through in the series, coming to terms with loving a man and all, I think it’s Logan who underwent the most changes. Seeing how vulnerable he really was deep inside and the reasons why he was the way he was, broke my heart more than once, and seeing him torn apart and on the verge of an emotional breakdown made me cry right along with him.

I have to say that after hating Diana for most of the series, I almost liked her here in this book. However, the one that really got redeemed in my eyes is Tate’s dad. I loved the way that he handled everything that happened and the way he apologized to Tate.

I really enjoyed this emotional rollercoaster of a journey from start to the fabulous ending more than I can convey and other than perhaps having wanted a little more resolution with Chris after all the anticipation, I’m absolutely ecstatic with how things played out for Logan and Tate.

Thank you, Ella, for giving us such well-rounded characters that steal your heart and make you care for them, for the fantastic chemistry between them, for a love story that transcends the written page. You truly surpassed all my expectations with TRUST!

Rating: 5+++ Starry Eyed Stars.

Interview with Ella Frank

Ella,

We here at Bayou Book Junkie have loved this series. In fact, "Try" broke my m/m cherry, and it was so good I never looked back. I seldom read m/f books anymore, so thank you for introducing me to this genre, and thanks for taking the time to talk to us today! I can't wait for the release day to get my hands on this book!! Here are a few questions. <3

Hello Bayou Book Junkie,

Thank you so much for inviting me to your blog today. I’m so thrilled to be here. I’m so happy you decided to pick up Try even though it wasn’t a genre you were familiar with. Now look at you! Hooked! And there are so many wonderful authors in this genre.

1)   Will you continue writing books in the future in the m/m genre?

Yes most definitely. I have loved reading this genre for years, so there is no way I am stopping here. I always have ideas brewing in this head of mine, and some most certainly include m/m titles.

2)   What inspired you to write Tate and Logan's story?

The idea of finding your perfect person in the last place you would ever think to look. Most would think that only applies to Tate, but really this holds true for Logan also. When we first meet him, he is looking for a woman. It isn’t until he sits down and first lays eyes on Tate that his whole direction changes course. Suddenly, the man behind the bar catches his eye and he is willing to do anything he needs to in order to get closer to him.
I liked the idea of two men finding each other when they least expected to, and connecting in an undeniable way. That was powerful to me.

3)   What values do you love most about each of these main characters?

Hmm. They are both so incredibly different, but deep down they have very similar values. As in, they want to love someone and have a relationship, even though Logan fought it at first.
If I had to choose for each of them…Tate, I love how honest he is. Not only with himself but those around him. Once he makes a decision, he will stand by it even if the outcome is going to be difficult. He’s solid, steady and won’t back down from anything. I love that about him.
Now Logan, he is different. What I love about him are the layers he has. He comes across bold and brash, but deep down he is an extremely vulnerable man. He wants to love and give his heart but when we first meet him he is struggling to trust anyone enough to do that. But as he falls harder and harder for Tate he lets him in and it’s a beautiful thing.

4)   If you had it to do over is there anything about the series you would change?

Honestly, no. I love Logan and Tate’s story. I’m extremely proud of the men they are and the way their relationship evolved. They are an absolute joy to write, and whenever I go back and get to dive into their stories I have an amazing time. They are like old friends.

5)   Can you talk a little about your current work(s) in progress?

I can’t share much, but my next novel will likely be a standalone. I love writing those after I have done a novel in a series. It lets me free my mind and create something brand new.

Thank you so much for having me stop by, and for participating on my blog tour! I hope you enjoy TRUST. Xx Ella
