The great thing about this story is the fact that the focus is on a more mature couple. Smiley is the Grim Sinners MC ex-president and Adeline is the mother of Alisha, who’s Techy’s ol' lady. So their age and experiences have really shaped who they are and in the grand scheme of things makes their sweet and passionate relationship all the more special.

Adeline has been to hell and back since she was young. Living with the memories, regrets and the demons associated with her has left her feeling as if she’s not worthy of anything good. She’s having trouble coming to grips with what has become of her life and the life of her now grown daughter, Alisha. It also makes it hard for her to believe she deserves someone like Smiley.

Smiley knows what he wants though and that’s Adeline. He will show her that she deserves to be loved. He treats her like she is the most important person in the world and shows her every day what she means to him.

If you are a fan of MC Lite then I think you’ll really enjoy Smiley. The romance is sweet and exciting and it’s easy to see why these two are great together. Personally, I’m a big fan of dark and gritty MC Romances so this one was slightly underwhelming for what I’d been in the mood for but that doesn’t mean that I can’t appreciate the appeal of it. I’m sure it will be a hit with many readers.
