Never too late for love.
Three-hundred-and-fifty-year-old warlock Tikron must find his true love or forfeit his immortality. But if he hasn’t found his ideal mate in all these centuries, the prospects don’t look too bright.
That is, until he sees mathematician Richard Beaumont. It’s love at first sight and Tikron’s future just got a whole lot brighter.
Except Richard doesn’t believe in love at first sight. He doesn't believe in love at all. He certainly doesn’t believe in magic. His life is ruled by statistics and logic, and they tell him a relationship with Tikron has only a 10 percent chance of success. That’s unacceptable—even if the attraction between them is off the charts.
With his powers waning and the clock ticking down, Tikron’s last hope is showing Richard the true meaning of magic.

4.25 Stars!

This book was an enjoyable read and funny at times. Tikron is a long-lived warlock, currently coming up on a deadline with a curse that requires him to find his true love or die. Unfortunately, he's waited to the last minute to try to remove it. He doesn't really think he can find love in less than a month and his past hurts don't make him really read to open his heart up again.

Richard keeps his head down and avoids people. Numbers and logic make sense; emotions do not. Other than his puppy, he's very isolated, yet thinks that he's better off that way. After seeing how his parents interacted with Richard, I felt really bad for him. I could see why he was the way he was, but was immensely happy to see him start smiling and laughing because of Tikron's antics. Tikron was persistent, but never pressured Richard with word of the curse hanging over his head. Tikron's attempts to get Richard to see more of the magic of the world were incredibly funny at times. The sassy squirrel was crazy and definitely an attention grabber. I liked these two together.

This book became more fun once Richard has his epiphany. His turn around seemed a bit too easy, but the cracks were already forming and I think he could see that he was much happier with the changes he was making. It was great to see him start to enjoy life and see the wonder in the world. I also really liked Ry, Tikron's best friend. He and Tikron have a great relationship and their teasing of each other helped keep things lighter.

4 stars

I love me an opposites-attract story! Tikron and Richard were both charming in their own way but both so very different. Tikron's ego was a little through the roof and Richard was a bit of a socially awkward nerd. But together these characters worked.

It was nice to see Richard come out of his nerdy shell a bit and embrace the magic that Tikron was showing him. I was intrigued by the hints of the world that Tikron and Ry were a part of. Ry was also pretty entertaining and I am wondering if we will get his story sometime in the future! If so, I hope we get to dive into this world a little more in his book!

The storyline about Tikron was interesting and I wish we got a little more of that in the story. I hoped to see just a bit more angst in relation to that, but I still enjoyed this low drama book.
