Remy’s life was turned upside down when Alpha Trevor, a controlling and sly leader concerned only with power, threatened his mother and a primal strength awakened inside him. He challenged the tyrannical alpha and defeated him. Now he is alpha, but Trevor isn’t going away quietly to lick his wounds. Trevor is much more devious than that. Remy and his pack have to navigate through plots and schemes created by such a formidable enemy who is willing to do anything it takes to steal back control and rule not only the Blood Moon Pack but all of the paranormal world.

Lines are drawn, alliances are made, and mates are found, but will it be enough when the lies and treachery go far deeper than they know? Spies infiltrate and enemies circle, waiting for an opportunity to strike. The people closest to Remy are at greatest risk and some suffer more than anyone should at the hands of those seeking power. Vampires and shifters alike in the Blood Moon Pack Alliance must fight to keep each other safe and hope that love and family will be enough to give them the strength to weather the storm ahead.

Hi,

I'm SA Welsh and I write because I love reading and I love letting the characters and stories in my head come to life in a book. I can't function in the morning without a cup of tea and when I'm not writing, I'm reading. Thank you to all the readers that let me keep writing and to the authors that keep me up at night reading a thrilling chapter and also to the editors that help make my books the best they can be.

Happy reading :)

Sa

I've been asked what I would consider my favorite Shifter book series and I can never narrow it down to just one. I mean the truth is, there are lots of great series out there featuring shifters. It's hard to narrow it down to just one because, frankly, I love them for very different reasons.  One of them is SA Welsh's Blood Moon Pack Alliance.  I love that this series incorporates not only Wolf Shifters but Vampires, hence the name Blood Moon Pack Alliance, humans, jackals and jaguars and a variety of types of shifters.  And while the central plot woven throughout the books is serious and sometimes dark, the books themselves are fun and entertaining. Sexy and romantic and full of action.  I definitely recommend this series to lovers of shifters and paranormal romance, if you haven't already read it, you should.

4.5 Stars!

Blind Under The Moon (Book 1)

Remy Lupe is unexpectantly summoned to his Alpha's house one night. When he arrives, he is ordered to violate a vampire that is being held and tortured there. When Remy refuses, it is seen as a challenge to his deranged Alpha. Unbeknownst to Remy, however, he was born to be Alpha and while beating his alpha is no walk in the park, he triumphs over the crazed Shifter.  After discovering that the blind Vampire, Skylar, is his fated mate, Remy's entire life is about to change. Between his new pack and his new mate, Remy has a lot to learn, but he will also help those he cares about become the strong family they were meant to be.

I liked this story about Remy and Skylar and how together, along with Remy's family, build a better pack. It's fun and has a lot of comedic moments, especially between the siblings but there is also a well thought out plot. Not to mention great chemistry between the shifter and the vampire.

While this story introduces a large cast of characters it is done in such a way that I wasn't left overwhelmed and confused but more anxious to see what was in store for them in future books.  Each book features the mating of a different couple and the challenges they face getting together. At the same time we get to see more pieces of the central plot that weaves all the books together.

Fanging Around For A Broken Wolf  (Book 2)

Jacko’s desperate for a safe and better life for him and his human sister, hoping that he'll get that chance when Remy announces he will be holding a rank contest where pack members have an opportunity to challenge and fight one another for positions in the pack hierarchy. Unfortunately, his opponent cheats and leaves Jacko injured and out, but Remy allows him to be part of the pack anyway. And when Remy learns the reasons Jacko was so desperate to join their pack, he decides to help Jacko rescue his young sister from their evil and dangerous mother.

The two vampire elders Lavi and Van immediately take interest in Jacko believing him to be their mate. They provide a safe home and protection for him and his sister Rose. Not everyone in the Coven is happy with the new arrangement, however, and they set out to destroy the new mating, as well as carry out an unknown plan for Jacko.

I enjoyed seeing two powerful and stoic vampires exposing their softer less controlled side with not only Jacko but also Rose. Polyamorous relationships can be difficult to write when two of the three individuals are already in a long-term and committed relationship, but this particular threesome was done quite well and it felt very balanced between all three men.  I also enjoyed the dynamic between Jacko, his mates and Rose, they are all very cute with her.

A good follow up to Blind Under The Moon.

Piercings and Sandpaper Kisses (Book 3)

Back from visiting his family and his brother's pack, Zeke realizes something is wrong with his pack members. Friends and neighbors are avoiding him, businesses are closing their doors and his clients are suddenly canceling their orders. When it becomes obvious that his pack has turned against him, he decides to question his alpha. Things don't go well and he is left with no choice but to grab his sisters and their pups and run.

Escaping the pack that has betrayed them is not easy and they are forced to fight people they consider family. With no alternative left, they turn to Remy and his Vampire allies to help free them. Now Zeke has to face the aftermath. He's lost his home, his business, his money and his friends. Starting over from nothing is scary, but meeting his vampire mate, Ashlock, is even scarier.  Zeke will have to forget his prejudice against vampires and learn to trust his mate and maybe he'll be able to rebuild his life.

This was the first book in the series I read (back when it first was published). I enjoyed it but I felt a little in the dark having not read the previous books. This time, the experience was very different having read the previous two books and I enjoyed it much more. I definitely recommend reading these books in order.

I liked Zeke, but in all honesty, I loved Ashlock. He's different, fun yet fierce and he's got a lot of fight in him. I was not too happy with the way Zeke treated him at first but I grew to like them together.  My favorite part of the story, though, is the interplay between Zeke and his family, their relationships are important to the story. They make me care about the future of the pack more than if the story just focused on the couples in each book. It's what makes me keep coming back.

Should Have Put A Leash On It (Book 4)

This is probably tied for my favorite book in the series. I love the dynamic between Rylan and Micah.  The sexual tension between them is evident from the first time we really see them interact and it's obvious that there is something there.

Micah and Rylan have known each other since Rylan was a young boy, brought to his pack and abandoned by his human mother. Rylan has always been looked upon as not quite worthy because he isn't a full shifter. While Micah saw Rylan as his younger brother's best friend, Rylan was watching Micah as something much more.

As adults, the two seem to always be trading barbs but when it's brought to Micah's attention that it's not all just fun and games, Micah begins to see things a boy differently. It isn't until Rylan disappears and Micah's wolf is in distress over it, that he realizes Rylan might be much more than just Remy's best friend and pack second.

Everything becomes a race against time to find Rylan and figure out what happened to him. They also need to figure out what this means for their pack. Trevor is still out there and no one knows what his plan is and who's in danger.

I thought this was a lot more serious than the previous books, which is what I liked about it. We see how Rylan's disappearance affects Micah and it's sad.  There is a look at the despair a wolf feels with the absence of their mate. There is also the guilt and shame we see with both Micah and Rylan.

I love these two together. Their bickering and verbal blows are sometimes cute and other times funny. They're both strong characters, good at what they do and extremely loyal. They have great chemistry which was very important and they definitely keep things entertaining not just in this book, but the others as well.  Great addition to the series.

What's Your Poison (Book 5)

Jake, a Jackal shifter under Remy and the Vampire Coven's protection, has finally created an antidote to Trevor’s toxic smoke used to drug shifters and weres.  Deciding to give it to Lavi, Van and Jacko, Remy and Skylar, as well as Zeke and Ashlock, he is happy to be able to give back to those who've helped him. Finally, this will be the key to the Vampires being able  to completely and fully bond with their mates.

If only Jake's own love life could be fixed so easily. He knows Sage is his mate, Sage knows it, too, but he has no interest in mating with Jake and makes that clear to him. Now Jake is trying to be strong and not let anyone see how devastated he is knowing his mate is out there and wants nothing to do with him.

Well, this is my least favorite of the books. Yes, I still love the writing and the characters but I hate to think about the pain Jake must feel at knowing his mate doesn't want him. Sage is a jerk and I really do not like him.  I wanted so bad to get into the stories from the other couple but I just couldn't. All I really cared about was Jake.

30 Pieces of Bloody Silver (Book 6)

My favorite in the series. This book is filled with much more action than the others. The first 40%, we don't even really see Asher's mate and/or mates. We see more of Asher and who he is, how he helps others. We also see his paternal side when he takes in Parker, an orphaned teenaged shifter.

After an attack at Remy's home, Asher goes looking for Kimi, a Vampire who the pack believes is working with Trevor. Taking Parker who he is now caring for with him, he's going against Remy's orders to leave the young shifter there. On Kimi's trail, Asher, who is straight as far as he knows, meets an intriguing human. Tyler ends up helping Asher navigate the gay bar he's at searching for Kimi. In the process, Asher discovers Tyler is his mate but to add insult to injury it turns out so is Kimi. The three very different people are fated to be a family.

I loved Tyler and Asher. They were great and had lots of chemistry. I was not a fan of Kimi, though, and would have been happy if Kimi was just a simple character that they have to face. Not a love interest.

Again, I love the Dynamic of the family members in the story. Their banter and interactions, good and bad, really move the story along, getting us closer and closer to discovering whatever it is that the big bad Trevor has been planning.  And this is really the first time we get to know Asher. He's pretty much been a background character and now that we've gotten to his story it's pretty evident that he's a complicated person. I really connected with him probably as much as with Micah who I loved as well.

I definitely can not wait until the next book. This series has got me hooked.
