Release Day Post ~ How About No (Bear Bottom MC Book 3) by Lani Lynn Vale
Wade had everything he could ever want in life...then he lost it.Now, his life—his forever girl—is living in a house he built for her while he’s struggling to move on and find meaning where there isn’t any to be found.
Landry Hill was his girl. his everything. His high school sweetheart. His first kiss. His first and only love. His old lady and wife.
Then one day he does something monumentally stupid. And she walks away knowing she’ll never come back.
Fast forward five years, and he’s still just as in love with her now as he was when she
left. The only problem is that she’s moved on with her life, found a new man, and
seemingly forgotten him. Then there’s Wade—stuck in the same awful place where she
abandoned him. The only thing he has left is his job as a police office and the Bear
Bottom MC.
Just when they both think things can’t get any worse, life kicks them both in the teeth,
and Landry finds out really quick that the only person she can depend on is the one that
let her walk away.
With understanding comes a deal. One that Landry has no hope of ever breaking free
from, and one Wade will do everything in his power to make a reality.
But one thing is still certain. The force that split them apart is still out there. And there’s
no hope of escaping fate.

4 Stars!
When Wade spots a woman he knows had no business being in the class he’s teaching (a favor from a friend and partner) he’s unable to write her off. Instead, he knows this is the one woman meant to be his. It doesn’t take long for him to put a ring on her finger and start building for their future.
However, Landry has had a difficult past and when Wade seems to betray her feelings she feels as if it’s time to ask for a divorce and walk away. Wade lets her go even though it breaks his heart. He has no clue what went wrong but he loves her still.
Two years later they are brought together by a bullet and both seem to let the facade crack. They still love each other and didn’t really want things to end. Now they have a second chance but they’ll have to face some issues that won’t be easy for either of them. Together they make a strong team and with the help of the Bear Bottom Guardians watching their backs they might actually make it this time.
So I have to say that this was a great addition to the series and I loved both Landry and Wade pretty much from the beginning. I’m a huge fan of characters that aren’t portrayed as perfect and who are actually relatable and realistic. I like my heroines to be sweet yet sassy, strong but still human and vulnerable. That was definitely Landry. Wade was far from perfect but he was great nonetheless and didn’t come off as a jerk who didn’t deserve forgiveness. Instead, I felt for him just as much as I felt for Landry.
These two were definitely a great couple. They had a fantastic connection that was easy to believe and that made them perfect for one another. Their banter and their inner musings were fun and humorous. Their sexual connection was just the right amount of steamy and sexy. And in the long run, the fault for the problems they faced and the consequences they endured were very much on both of them.
The writing was good, as always with Ms. Vale and this was a pretty smooth, fast and easy read. It’s not really a MC Romance since the MC isn’t really a focal point in the story but like the rest of the series, the men and women of the club definitely rallied around Wade and Landry when needed. And well of course now there are more characters we got a glimpse of that I am intrigued by and I’ll have to be on the lookout for when their stories come out.
Would I recommend How About No? Yes, most definitely.
