Dale is working his way through college as an exotic dancer. While he prefers to keep his performances public, it’s tough to say no to the private dances, even though they’re risky. Three songs, just dancing, no touching—Dale can do this and be handsomely compensated.
For Italian businessman Adriano “Gen” Genovese, the handsome cowboy tempts him into wanting more than one dance. Gen convinces Dale to indulge in another dance and a night in his decadent hotel room. He introduces Dale to a glittering world of wealth on a scale Dale has never even imagined.
As the romance between the down-home Texas student and the millionaire playboy heats up, they come to realize the only risk they face is losing their hearts.

I have to say I was expecting something a little different after reading the blurb. I don't know if I thought it was going to be darker or more intense or a little more mysterious and intriguing. Either way, in my opinion, Private Dances missed the mark. If you're looking for an easy, erotic, somewhat Cinderfella type tale, this one might just be perfect. However, if like me and it's substance and emotion you're craving then I'd suggest taking a pass. Dale is working as a stripper to pay for school. As a real Texan country boy, he isn't used to the life wealth creates. When an unusual request for a private dance leads Dale to Gen a wealthy European businessman he starts to see a world he couldn't even imagine. One simple dance leads to another and then to a date. Soon Dale and Gen are ready to explore a connection neither wants to pass up. This is almost an insta-love tale. These two men move mighty fast from stripping to sex, vacationing in Italy to falling in love. And while in some instances that can be great and fun to read, sometimes it just seems a little too sweet. I wanted to see a more Alpha, more mysterious man when we meet Gen but he quickly lost his aloof persona and became a tad sappy. And unfortunately for Dale, what some might see as endearing and down to earth country boy, in my mind came off as dumb. I hate saying it because I'm thinking that's not how it was intended but I just didn't feel his character. He was almost too naive, and his character seemed too young. This is definitely a story that I'll shelve in my too sweet file. 3 Stars!
