This is definitely not a sweet and fluffy romance and it isn’t your typical biker book, which I have to say is a good thing. I love how K.A. Merikan write their Biker books.

K.A Merikan truly impressed me here because Road of No Return takes my love of MM and MC Romance and blends it in a deliciously dark and gritty yet sexy and, dare I say, romantic mix. I’m always searching for a good MM story that takes on the Motorcycle Club theme and has the same feel as some of my all-time favorite MF MC stories. It’s not often I find them but this book (and the entire series) definitely does that.

Originally when I read this story in 2014 I commented that the story and the characters were believable and had a very realistic feel. As much as I found myself rooting for Stitch and Zak, I also found myself wanting to scream at them both that they should just give up, it was too hard for them. I was on pins and needles wondering where the story would lead and I couldn’t put it down. Now some years later, listening to it on Audiobook I can’t help but get excited that I feel the same way. Time has passed and I’ve read more of the series and more of the Authors work and I still can hear this story and feel like it’s the first time.

I definitely recommend this book as well as the series.

Wyatt Baker has a great voice for this story. It was deep and rough which was what I’d hoped for when taking on these characters. While there were times when I wished for just a bit more rawness to it when he was doing Stitch’s character, I still found myself impressed that I wasn’t continually pulled out of the story.

Road of No Return is book one in the Sex & Mayhem Series. If you've read K.A. Merikan's books before, you know that they're amazing at writing dark, violent, gritty stories with alpha men that are willing to do just about anything to protect those they love.

This is not a story for the faint of heart, there's plenty of heat and sex and yes, even love, but don't expect Zak or Stitch to turn all mushy just because they fall for each other, because that's not what you'll find here. They're realistic and they are raw, and I found myself alternatively liking them and wanting to knock some sense into them. LOL

Wyatt Baker did a great job with the narration. His voice is gruff and deep and a bit rough around the edges, just like KA Merikan's characters are and it made the whole listening experience very enjoyable!

Definitely an audiobook you don't want to miss out on!

Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads. 

They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of – it will be full of surprises.
