Stan Lyamin has seen many of his dreams come true. He’s found his soulmate, loves Noah like his own, hoisted the Cup, and has his Mama living with him in his new country. But his fantasies of a loud, loving, madcap home overflowing with childish laughter linger. When a distant family member passes, Stan and Erik immediately agree to take in the two orphaned children, but that means a trip back to Russia for Stan, an idea that both exhilarates and terrifies him.
Erik’s world tilts on its axis when a phone call wakes him and Stan in the middle of the night. Abruptly, Stan is returning to Russia, making deals, working with people who know people, and fully intending to bring two orphaned children home. The red tape is overwhelming, and Erik is alone in Harrisburg with the nearly impossible task of finding a nanny who can speak fluent Russian. Being on his own is one thing, but add in fears about Stan’s safety and team issues, and Erik is finding everything hard to balance; not least of which is spending quality time with Noah.
When their family expands from three to five, the journey won’t be easy, but love can always find a way.

I LOVED getting to visit with these guys again! This novella was super heartfelt and had some great funny moments as well. I love Stan’s use of English and how enthusiastic he is with pretty much everything that he says. At the beginning of this story, I thought it was going to be a little more angsty than it was but while there were a few serious moments, it brought a lot to the storyline.
Meeting little Eva and Pavel was sweet and I loved seeing more of Noah. Their little family is refreshingly unique and lovely. I cannot wait to see more of everyone in the next book!

This was everything I wanted from a story featuring Stan and Erik. These two are one of my favorite pairs out of all the couples we’ve encountered in the Harrisburg Railers series.
Stan has to be the funniest character I have come across; with everything I read in this book, I had Elvis stuck in my head for days after. The life the two have made for themselves, Noah, and Stan’s mama, is the best, and the fact that even though Erik is a bit nervous and kinda scared of what will happen, they take in those two kids, is a little awe-inspiring to me.
The two kids we have been introduced to in this book are sweet even if they were scared. I really hope we see more of Stan and Erik like this in other books!!
This series just gets better and better with each one that comes out. Hockey is one of the only sports that doesn’t bore me to tears and reading about hockey players falling in love like this is definitely a plus for me!
