Cash is a car mechanic with a secret. Head down, sleeves up, he hides from the past as much as his shattered heart, until a reluctant stumble into a Tottenham bar ends in the one night stand of his dreams.

Hunt saboteur Rae can’t believe his luck when he wakes up the next morning. Cash is gorgeous, and the hottest hook up he’s ever had. He doesn’t expect to see him again, until a twist of fate lands him on Cash’s doorstep a few months later.

United by a cause that’s broken Cash before, they are drawn together. They have more in common than they ever imagined, but with Cash haunted by the past, and Rae so tangled in the present, it’s not long before love isn’t enough to keep them alive.

5 Stars!

There are some authors that you know when you pick up one of their books you’ll never be disappointed and for me, one of those authors is definitely Garrett Leigh. I don’t think I’ve met one of her couples yet that I haven’t absolutely fell in love with and Cash and Rae were no exception.

From the first page I was drawn into, and held captive by, Rae and Cash’s story and it didn’t take me long to fall head over heels in love with them. I not only loved them, but as an animal lover I could totally get behind their cause. I think hunting just for sport is disgusting and letting dogs terrorize and tear a fox to pieces, well, it was heartbreaking to learn that these sort of activities take place.

Okay, back to Rae and Cash. As I said, I absolutely loved them and together, they fit perfectly. Their chemistry was out of this world and they were off the charts hot together. The story is well-written and I seriously couldn’t put it down from the moment I started reading. My only complaint, I want so much more of Cash and Rae.

A must read that I can definitely recommend. It had a little of everything, mystery, action and of course, romance. Go one-click it, you won’t regret it, I promise!

Cash shares his house with his friend Lucky and Lucky's boyfriend, Dom. He stumbles onto Rae in a bar and the two have a hot one-night stand. A twist of fate finds Rae back at Cash's door looking for a former sab (saboteur) to help his crew. Cash left that life for a reason and isn't happy to see Rae bringing it back to him.

The story revolves around sabotaging fox hunts near the camp where Rae and his crew live. Rae's crew needs help to stop a rich landowner's illegal hunts, and Cash happens to be one of the names on the list. Cash has secrets and reasons he doesn't want to go back to that life, but the guilt he feels from not helping eats at him. Since their sab lives require a lot of secrecy, neither is very good at communicating about the issues that surround them.

I liked Cash and Rae. Cash is conflicted for most of the book about his feelings for Rae and about sabbing. When Cash's past was revealed, I understood where his issues came from and could sympathize even more. Rae was more forthcoming than Cash, but they both have a hard time reconciling their current lives. Their attraction and feelings for each other end up being a complication neither wants, but can't seem to walk away from.

I liked the book, but I felt a bit behind about some of the events since I don't know much about fox hunting. I also felt that the roundup of the people who hurt Cash was good, but seemed to be downplayed too much for me. I was happy to see the guys find a way to be together and move forward.

I read this story without having read the first book, Lucky, and I had no problem reading it as a standalone. Dom and Lucky were wonderful additions to this story, and I can't wait to go back and read Lucky now.
