Title: STAY  (Blackcreek Book #2)
Author: Riley Hart

Wes Jensen just lost the sister who raised him, and gained custody of his niece. The last thing he needs to add to his full plate is dealing with Braden Roth, the one-night-stand who continues to try to push his way into Wes’s life. He has a kid to raise now, and Wes isn't great at getting close anyway.

Braden has never had a woman or a man sneak out on him the morning after. From the start, Wes intrigues him, and Braden isn't one to deny himself something he wants. And he wants Wes. The more time he spends with Wes and the little girl who constantly keeps them on their toes, the more Braden realizes this isn't just about getting the guy who walked away.

As their lives intertwine more and more, Wes discovers Braden isn't as shallow as he thought. But after everything Wes lost in his life, he isn't sure he can risk his heart, and truly want Braden to stay—and if he did, would Wes’s quiet life be enough for Braden?

4 Stars!!!

We met both Wes and Braden in book 1 (Collide).

Braden is one of Coop's friends and fellow firefighter. He is bi, and hooks up with Wes in book one. When he wakes up, Wes is gone from his bed and Braden is intrigued by this. He can't get Wes out of his head. Braden is sweet, carefree and fun loving.

Wes is someone Noah meets in a bar. He is in town to take care of his dying sister. Wes and Noah eventually become friends. Wes is left to raise his 4yr old niece, Jessie, by himself when his sister passes away. Wes is very closed off and private. He doesn't know how to share his feelings and let people in.

Braden chases after Wes, and the more he chases, the more Wes keeps trying to push him away. What happens when in a pinch, he needs help and Braden is the only person available to help?

I thought Braden was too pushy. I was almost embarrassed for him at how desperate he came off.

Wes assumes Braden is just a shallow player, but soon realizes just how caring and sweet Braden is. I think some of the best parts of this book were the interactions between Braden and Jessie. They were hilarious. Jessie yelling at Braden for saying bad words! lol

My HUGE problem with this book is that as soon as Braden and Wes were on the same page in their relationship status and feelings about one another, the story was over. I wanted to see more of the three of them become a family and be happy together. I like to know what happens once the story is over. Give me an epilogue!!

I loved that we got to see some of Coop and Noah in this book. I am looking forward to Mason's book. I love Riley's writing style (well, except for the lack of epilogues), but her writing flows well. Her stories have action and don't have you looking ahead or skimming paragraphs or pages.
