Blurb
Without trust, common ground can get pretty shaky…
“I believe you have something of mine, Zach.”
The stranger’s accusation throws Zach Owens for a loop. He’s never seen this man in his life, and he’s not prepared when he finds out what they have in common—their boyfriend, Jake.
Make that ex-boyfriend. With the jerk out of the picture, Zach hurries after the stranger to apologize… which quickly leads to some sizzling hot revenge sex.
Despite starting on the wrong foot, Nathan Forrester can’t get enough of the sexy movie theater owner. Still, he’s jaded and distrustful—especially when Jake keeps materializing in Zach’s presence despite Zach insisting that relationship is over.
With a devious ex-boyfriend trying to sabotage their fledgling relationship, Zach and Nathan need to learn to trust each other, or they’ll both wind up with nothing.
This 61,000 word novel was previously published, and has been revised to include an extended ending.
4 Stars!!!
The last thing Zach expected when he met his boyfriend Jake for drinks was to have said boyfriend’s boyfriend of 4 years crashing on their date. Feeling guilty even if he had no clue of Nathan’s existence, he breaks things off with Jake and follows Nathan out of the club after the confrontation and they have passionate revenge sex and part ways. However, Zach is unable to get Nathan out of his head and when Nathan comes looking for him at the theater Zach is co-owner of, they start a passionate relationship. Only Jake doesn’t seem ready to let go of any of his exes and Nathan’s distrust might put the brakes to any hopes of him and Zach actually having a future together.
I loved Zach, he was definitely my favorite. He was sweet and trusting and willing to work things out with Nathan no matter what. Nathan, though, I had many problems warming up to him. His excuses for not trusting Zach or for keeping him at arm’s length made me want to throw my kindle at him. It’s just that enough is enough, you know? I completely understood his trust issues, but Zach didn’t give him any motives and Nathan kept at it ad nauseum, until I just wanted Zach to move on to greener pastures or someone that actually appreciated his efforts. Perhaps if Nathan had actually made some kind of grand gesture, rather than just seek Zach out there at the end? I don’t know, I just needed more from him.
This is my first LA Witt book and I can assure you it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed her writing and the book was quite entertaining, even if it didn’t work completely for me. Still, I would recommend it, it was a pretty good read.

Author Bio
L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer who has finally been released from the purgatorial corn maze of Omaha, Nebraska, and now spends her time on the southwestern coast of Spain. In between wondering how she didn’t lose her mind in Omaha, she explores the country with her husband, several clairvoyant hamsters, and an ever-growing herd of rabid plot bunnies. She also has substantially more time on her hands these days, as she has recruited a small army of mercenaries to search South America for her nemesis, romance author Lauren Gallagher, but don’t tell Lauren. And definitely don’t tell Lori A. Witt or Ann Gallagher. Neither of those twits can keep their mouths shut…
