AotM ~ Collide (Blackcreek Series #1) by Riley Hart (Review+Giveaway)

AotM ~ Collide (Blackcreek Series #1) by Riley Hart (Review)

COLLIDE

At ten years old, Noah Jameson and Cooper Bradshaw collided mid-air when they dove for the same football. For three years, they were inseparable…until one day when Noah and his parents disappeared in the middle of the night.

Noah and Cooper never knew what happened to each other. Now, seventeen years later, after finding his boyfriend in bed with another man, Noah returns to Blackcreek looking for a fresh start. And damned if he doesn’t find his old friend grew up to be sexy as sin. Coop can’t believe Noah—the only person he trusted with the guilt over his parents’ death—is back. And gay… Or that Cooper himself suddenly wants another man in his bed for the first time.

There’s no denying the attraction and emotion between them, but can they overcome the ghosts of their pasts to have a future together?

4.5 Stars!

Noah and Cooper first meet when they collide at the age of 10 as they both make a grab in the air for the same football. They become instant friends and are inseparable. When they are 13, Coop goes on a weekend trip with his aunt and when he comes back, Noah and his family have disappeared.

17 years later, Noah takes off after discovering his boyfriend with another man. He ends up back in the town of Blackcreek and as he steps off the sidewalk into the street, Coop collides with him again. This time with the grill of his truck. He takes Noah to the hospital and they rekindle the old friendship. But will Coop be okay with his best friend being gay? And what happens when he finds himself attracted to his best friend?

This was a well-written book and would have been a 5 star if not for the ending. Coop coming out and addressing his love and relationship for/with Noah to his fellow firefighters was a major conflict in this story and should have been an epic moment, and it was just glossed over. It deserved much more than the sentence or two it received.

The storyline itself was good and it flowed well. The MC's had good chemistry. I am looking forward to reading Wes and Braden's book and will be checking out more from this author in the future.

  3. It certainly didn't take much effort to think of an answer to my favourite book by Riley Hart: Crossroads for sure. I love them all but that one just stuck with me, so amazing! Nick and Bryce, one of my fav couples. Thanks for the chance!

  7. If it's truly GFY, then no. It's seems too much like a cheap device, But often it's part of process into self-identity, and if it's done well, then I can enjoy the journey. - Purple Reader,

  13. I do have one burning question for Riley. Are we going to get more Nick and Bryce?

  14. In regards to collaborations, I have read a few in the past. Those were good, it depends how well the authors mesh together so your not reading two different stories in one novel. I do prefer single author books personally.
