Stone is a straight, heavy metal singer that has had success in his career, but although he's had some long-term relationships, they've never quite worked out. After his last bad break-up, Stone's best friend, takes him to a party in Vegas where they play "Seven Minutes". You roll the dice and have to do what the dice says with the person whose name you draw. Stone draws the cross-dressing guy, Devon, that he's been eying all night. He and Devon have to kiss, and Stone has never kissed a guy before, although he can't deny his attraction to Devon. After Stone and Devon kiss they go their separate ways, but fate sometimes has a way of delivering you what/who you really want/need in life.

This was a really short read and I absolutely loved it. It was interesting and it captivated me from page one. I couldn't put it down and read most of it in one sitting until I could no longer keep my eyes open anymore. I promptly finished it as soon as I got home from work the next day.

I loved both Devon and Stone and the chemistry they shared was electric. Their kiss practically sent sparks flying out of my iPad, so I can only imagine how hot the sex would have been, had the author added some to the story. I'll be honest, this was a bit disappointing, but I know not all authors are comfortable with writing sex.

While the story is well-written and enjoyable, I walked away wanting more. I wanted to see more of how Stone and Devon's relationship progressed and where it went exactly. The author gives us a happy ending, but I was left craving more. Give me a few more chapters and this definitely would have been a 5-star read!! Still, very recommendable!!

Why, oh why wasn't this a longer novel? Loved this and wanted more of Dev and Stone.

This seems to be the author's debut novel, and I sort of get why she's gone for short and sweet, but this would have worked equally well as a longer tale. It reminded me the tiniest bit about SJD Petersen's Plan B, another amazing read, and I liked that the tale ended in the start of what felt like a HEA for the leads.

It's a tale that's been done many times before - 'straight' guy is attracted to a femme guy, and wants to experiment, and seemingly doesn't have any hangups, but this was done with a light touch, so that it seemed a little matter-of-fact, a lot reasonable and realistic and the pace and sexiness were right. There's not a lot of down and dirty stuff, but it wasn't needed in this, as had the guys embraced full-on sex too quickly and easily, it'd have detracted from the realism the author imbued the tale with. They worked, the tale worked, the thing that brought them together worked - the whole tale worked for me.

I'd have loved this as a longer novel, but good things come in small sizes, as this tale proved. I hope the author goes on to write more and that she considers turning this into a longer, angstier novel - simply because it feels like she could easily do it, and it'd do the leads justice.
