Two years after his life fell apart, Will Dawson moved to Florida to start over. His job in the tech department of Idyll Fling, a gay porn studio, is ideal for him. When his boss forces him to take on a new hire, the last person he expects is Dallas Greene—the man who cost him his job and his boyfriend back in Connecticut. He doesn’t know what’s on Dallas’s agenda, but he won’t be blindsided by a wolf masquerading as a runway model. Not again.
Dallas might have thrown himself on his brother’s mercy, but his skills are needed at Idyll Fling. Working with Will is a bonus, since Dallas has never forgotten the man. A good working relationship is only the beginning of what Dallas wants with Will.
But Dallas doesn’t realize how deep Will’s distrust runs, and Will doesn’t know that the man he’s torn between loving and hating is the boss’s brother. When all truths are revealed, how can a relationship built on lies still stand?

Plaid versus Paisley is Book 2 in KC Burn's Fabric Hearts series. It could be read as a standalone, but Tartan Candy was really good and the characters are reoccurring so go ahead and read it first! Will is involved in Book 1 and I think it's important to know that story and who the characters are before dropping into this one!

After losing his job in Connecticut, Will Dawson moved to Florida to run the tech department of Idyll Fling. He was burned at his previous job by another employee, so even though he is overwhelmed with work, he refuses to hire any help. Then one day his boss shows up with an employee that he hired to help with the department and it turns out to be Dallas, the person he blames for his lost job in Connecticut. Will is irate that Dallas has followed him and plans to ruin his perfect job. Will ignores his attraction to Dallas and interacts with him as little as possible.

When Dallas loses everything in Connecticut, including his family, he runs to his only hope, his brother. His brother gives him a job working in the tech department but Dallas makes him promise not to tell anyone they're related. He's looking forward to working with Will, he had a crush on him when they worked for the same company previously, but he doesn't expect the hate and animosity he is faced with when he starts his new job. Dallas is still attracted to Will and works to get him to act on their mutual attraction. But both men have to be willing to be honest about what they've left unsaid and they have to work through the results of that honesty.

I really loved Dallas. He was young but he had been through so much, he had to mature and grow up quickly. He really is the epitome of being kicked while you're down. I enjoyed Will, but sometimes he was just too much for me. I understood where he was coming from and why he was so territorial with his job, but I also thought if he had used some honesty and just told Dallas why he was so mad, that a lot of the anger could have been dealt with instead of letting it fester. I know, I know, we need some angst in books!!

There are many other characters in this series, and I seriously enjoyed all of them! This book included a lot more with Idyll Fling and I'm really looking forward to see what comes next for this series! I'd definitely recommend you reading this series!!
