From the moment Annie and Michael first laid eyes on one another, there was an inexplicable attraction. Unfortunately, they both know it's a bad idea to be anything other than professional, but you can't fight intense lust and passion and so begins the "Epic Rollercoaster Ride of Love" between Annie and Michael. Marriage, cheating, betrayals, death, drugs and alcohol. This story has it all.

I love Ann Lister books and I remember the first time I read Sheet Music back in 2012. I recall the wild ride of emotions this book evoked as I read about Annie's rise to fame and her relationship with Michael. Their marriage and the troubles they went through. Reading the story again now, however, I can't help but feel a little differently about the characters.

I have to honestly say I am not a fan of Annie. I felt as if her character was not easy to connect with and the way she treated Micheal irritated me to no end. They had a very volatile relationship but underneath it, it was quite apparent that Michael loved her deeply. However, at times I felt that while Annie obviously loved him, too, she seemed to have a need for punishing him. Her actions screamed of a lifetime of resentment and it makes it hard to root for the couple when it seems they may be better off apart.

I think Ann Lister did a wonderful job with her writing and crafting such a book. However, I am pretty sure I'm more of a fan of her MM.
