Josh Cooper, top US security field agent, is sent on an inter-agency assignment to London, when a partner in his firm goes missing in suspicious circumstances. Used to working in sole charge of his well-honed team, he clashes heads with the handsome, but pompous Cal, his UK co-operator and superior. Josh’s gut tells him something is wrong. He’s being kept out of the loop and Cal’s agenda is running on a different path.

He also has a personal issue to deal with. He’s involved in a cyber-relationship with “Charlie”, an unknown man who connected with Josh by accident. Their banter has led to deeper respect and a sexual interest, but now Josh is faced with a growing attraction to Cal. Between this conflict and the tension of the mission, Josh’s heart and head are overworked and confused. Things can’t get much worse.

Then Josh discovers the enemies he’s seeking have a new target: him.

Josh Cooper, a top US security agent, is sent to London to work with another agency to help out in the disappearance of one of his agency's partners. Used to leading his own team, he's not all to happy to have to cooperate with another team, especially since he clashes with team leader Cal at first. However, as they get to know each other, antagonism gives way to attraction, leaving Josh feeling out of sorts, since he's been in a cyber-relationship with a mysterious guy, Charlie, for two years. Add to that that someone seems to want to get rid of Josh and well, things aren't looking all that great for him.

Josh was amazing! He was a strange blend of oblivious and sarcastic, that had me in stitches several times. I really liked the Charlie's Angels angle with him as the Angel and with his Charlie. And Cal was all mysterious at first, and yeah, he could be a bit of a bastard, but it was endearing how he melted where Josh was concerned. They had great chemistry and I loved their banter!

The secondary characters were really good, too, and they helped move the mystery part of the book along.

This has to be one of my favorite Sue Brown stories to date! It's so witty, fun, action-packed and engaging! I just didn't want to put it down or for it to end, because I had so much fun reading it. And really, while there were a few things that were obvious from the start, there were other twists that I so didn't see coming and had me guessing almost to the end. There's a bit of a cliffhanger in the end, even if there's a very definite HFN vibe to it, so I really hope the next book comes along quickly! I can't wait to read more of Josh and Cal's adventures!

Rating: 4.5 Stars!!!
