Breakfast at Tiffany’s Waffles and Wings
A year after Hurricane Katrina, Scott is back in the city he loves, the city that offered him sanctuary from rural Louisiana and its prejudices, but living in a homeless shelter can be almost as dangerous as the streets.
The storm cost Tony his family, his home, and his direction in life. Now he’s squatting and stealing to make ends meet, and he’s lost all hope of things getting better.
When Scott and Tony meet, they realize it’s time to stop merely surviving. It’s time to start living again. Together.

Charlie’s Mission
Charlie is an ex-addict plagued by memories of the past. He’s doing penance working at a homeless shelter, staying away from men, drugs, and anything resembling happiness. He’s convinced he doesn’t deserve more.
Devon is determined to keep the dealers out of his neighborhood. No one operates there without his permission. When he brings a sick young man who was selling drugs to the mission, he meets Charlie and can’t stop thinking of the man with the haunted eyes. He’s determined to give Charlie a taste of pleasure, despite Charlie’s claims that he’s not worthy of it.

Scott and Tony meet on the street. Both homeless, and although they meet under not so good circumstances, they are still immediately drawn to one another.
I'll be honest, I usually don't like instalove, but this author actually did it well. Even though the story takes place over just a couple of days, I believed the feelings were there.
The story is well-written, and although short, it's pretty well paced. I wish the author had added a few more chapters to offer more character development. I was left wondering about some of Tony and Scott's past.
The story ends with a HFN, and it's left for the reader to imagine where the future will take Scott and Tony. Hopefully a small apartment of their own and a bright future lays ahead!!•♥•.¸¸.•♥•.¸¸.•♥•.¸¸.•♥• Charlie's Mission
Charlie, whom we meet in the first story, Breakfast at Tiffany's Waffles and Wings, works at the homeless shelter in Mid-City. He meets Devon when he shows up at the shelter with a sick young man. The attraction is immediate, but Devon just dumps the kid and runs.
Like the first story this one is very instalove, as well, although Charlie and Devon do get to know one another better than Scott and Tony did.
The story is well written, but again the characters felt somewhat underdeveloped. I was left wanting more information. The mystery part of the story was interesting and kept me guessing as to what Devon's story was.
As a whole both stories were enjoyable and had likable characters. The author seemed knowledge of what it was like in New Orleans just two years after Katrina. It's been 11 years now and sadly there are some neighborhoods that still haven't come back. This was a quick and enjoyable read, I'd recommend.
