All playfulness evaporated as Ash catalogued River from head to toe. Would Ash be spending the next twenty years raising a kid that resembled this man? He’d hoped he and Danielle would kick the tradition.

The silence that followed felt thick and taut, and Ben struggled to breathe.
Landon sat back with a determined stare toward the road. He licked his bottom lip and his hand rested on the wheel, thumb tapping. “You deserve all that, Ben. That and more.”

Challenging Chance Teaser:
Clenching the folder tightly against his chest, Brook kicked up a half smile. “I know you are a playboy, and charmingly faulted,” he said. “Didn’t think you’d be sexist too.”
Chance slung the towel around his neck, stretching it taut by pulling the ends. “There you have it,” he said. “I’m all those things.”
He sounded cocky, but the follow-up swallow and downward glance had Brook pausing. The glimpse of vulnerability quickly vanished as Chance strode off the court.
Brook hustled after him, matching his long stride easily since Chance was only a hair taller.
“I can do the job as good as anyone,” he said. “I’ll be at your beck and call, whenever you need me. Most importantly, I’ll keep my mouth shut.”
Chance abruptly stopped and whisked around. “What do you mean you’ll keep your mouth shut?”
“Public intoxication, public indecency, driver’s license revoked two years ago for accumulating too many fines. None of it is my business. I’ll help you navigate whatever paperwork comes with it, of course. But outside you and me? My lips are sealed.”
He would never blurt Chance’s mistakes in a crowded café. Though he’d been grateful to overhear the ex-PA, he didn’t condone being unprofessional and blabbing about an employer’s affairs.
Everyone made mistakes. They didn’t need those mistakes defining them.



Admiring Ash

3.75 Stars 

While I liked Ash and River, it took me a long time, almost to the end of the story, before I connected with them or even found any chemistry between them. Truthfully, I love Ms. Sunday’s stories, but something about this story felt off. It just didn’t quite work for me.

The characters felt a bit awkward and a lot younger than they actually were. The story is pretty well-written for the most part, but some of the scene changes didn’t flow as smoothly as they could have.

I loved River and my heart absolutely broke for him. Lester was such an important person in his life and it was so sad that he lost him. River was so sweet and willing to do anything to help Ash in any way he could. Ash, well, I loved him, as well, and my heart went out to him for all the suffering he’d been through. I had so much respect for him. He worked so hard to give his sister as mush as he could, but I was also a bit confused by him, mostly by his sexuality and if his sister was even aware of his attraction to men. It’s never really clearly stated and it was all a bit confusing.

While I liked the story itself and the characters were both lovable, I just didn’t connect with them. I think this is a case of it’s me and not the book and I’m sure many will love the story. While not my favorite, definitely recommendable!

Begging Ben 

4.75 Stars 

I absolutely loved this story. I really liked Ben and Landon when I met them in Admiring Ash, and although I seriously wanted to knock their heads together at times, well okay, I mostly wanted to knock some sense into Landon, I still absolutely loved them.

I adored the premise of the story and once Landon and Ben gave into their attraction, well, sparks flew and they practically set my kindle on fire!

The story is well-written and although Landon’s twin brother, River and his boyfriend Ash, the main characters from the first book, are featured throughout, this can definitely be read as a standalone, although I did enjoy somewhat knowing what was happening when I first started the story.

Begging Ben was well-written and easy to read. It flowed well, and was a sweet, funny and a bit of an angsty read with an amazingly swoon-worthy ending. While definitely satisfying, I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to Ben and Landon yet, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. Very recommendable!

Challenging Chance

3.5 Stars

Challenging Chance is book 3 of the Love Letters series and can be read as a standalone.

Let me start by saying, I'm a huge fan of Ms. Sunday's books, unfortunately, while I found Brook adorable and I just wanted him to find his HEA, I didn't like Chance until the last 10% or so of this book.

As I said, Brook was totally adorbs. He was flawed, but he was trying to atone for what he did and make a life for both him and his awesome grandma, who I loved to pieces. Now, Chance was the typical poor rich boy, well, man, I guess, although you wouldn't have guessed. He was very immature, trying to emulate his younger brother and make his father proud with no success and hiding who he was from everyone, including himself, so he wouldn't lose his monthly stipend. The way he would throw money so his so-called friends would like him was sad and I just wanted to shake him and make him see how he was wasting his life. They had chemistry, yes, but I truly couldn't see what Brook saw in Chance, especially since Brook had to force a couple of things for Chance to actually see how badly he was messing up his life.

Overall, while not my favorite of Anyta Sunday's books, it may be a case of this not being the story for me, and you might feel differently, so try it out, it might work for you.
