After missing the opportunity to ask for Darren’s number, James' jaw hits the floor when Darren walks into the same hotel he is staying at. Butterflies and nerves take over, but soon give way to excitement as they get to know each other on the ground.
When James' ex, Richard, shows up and begs for forgiveness, James has to decide if going back to the man who broke his heart would be worth it, or if he should finally move on and take a chance on Darren.

George was about eighteen when he told his friend that he was going to be a writer. It took him another eighteen years before he finally did anything about it and wrote his first short story. A typical Englishman, he drinks buckets of tea with milk—but no sugar, because he is sweet enough. His Nan told him so.
George lives just outside of London, but close enough to enjoy Soho and the West End, where you will find him in a bar with a pint, in a club dancing into the early hours of the morning, or enjoying a musical in the theater; but more than likely he will be in a coffee shop reading a book or writing a new story. Currently single, but taking applications for future husband position, George enjoys crafting romantic stories in which he hopes that one day, life will imitate art.

This was a sweet and cute story. It's well written and the characters are likable. I wish Darren had been a better-developed character, but I see James and Darren will get a continuation of their story, so hopefully we'll get to know him better. I really liked the secondary characters of Max and Annie, but especially James's Gran.
This was a quick and enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for James and Darren, as well as reading Max's story. Recommendable!

James meets Darren when he swaps flights with his best friend at the last minute. They hit it off and end up spending some quality time at the hotel in Johannesburg. However, James' ex shows up intent on begging for James' forgiveness and James will need to decide if he'll get back with him or take a chance with Darren.
This was such a cute little book! It was very enjoyable and well-written. I really liked James and Darren and thought they had great chemistry. I just wish this story had been longer, although it seems book 3 in the series will go back to this couple, so we'll get to see how they're faring.
Overall, this is recommendable read! Perfect for a lazy afternoon, short and sweet, with just a dash of angst.
