Sebastian Phillips is scarred inside and out. Having grown up believing he was a burden, he lives his life never letting anyone too close. His membership to the BDSM club, Catharsis, is his only outlet. Sebastian longs for a Dom, so his encounter with Master G and subsequent offer of a temporary contract seem perfect. After all, he doesn't need anyone learning his secrets.
Gideon McCade has left his past life behind. Former Navy SEAL, former CIA operative and current owner of Catharsis. He meets Sebastian under difficult circumstances, but sees his beautiful submission underneath the wounded man. Offering a temporary contract to the boy is the best he can do, as his past deeds are unforgivable. Even though Gideon has left his past behind, he has hatred and revenge in his heart so he believes that in the long run he can never be the person Sebastian needs. Gideon's past deeds and Sebastian's secrets may be too much to overcome to admit they are in love and need more than a temporary contract.
First let me say, I have been waiting for this book as patiently as possible and WOW, was it worth it! Sweet submissive Sebastian and dominating Gideon are everything you could want in a story. As they go from meeting to a temporary Dom/sub relationship and on into falling in love, Luna David puts emotion into every word. I cried more than once over the pain and hurt that Sebastian had endured and continued to hide from his Dom. His low self-esteem and shy submissive behavior don't allow him to see all the amazing things he does for everyone except himself. Gideon looks beneath the surface and finds a truly beautiful soul. The scenes of BDSM are wonderfully written and place a beautiful picture in your mind. Getting to see the McCade family and catch up with Braden, Zavier and Nana is amazing. How they are all so welcoming of Sebastian as family, makes you wish they were yours. I know I've just finished Saving Sebastian, but I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the Custos Security Series.
