Blurb

I’ve been Jaxon Donovan since the day I was born, obviously. My road name, Snatch, came years later due to my ability to literally snatch up any woman I set my sights on. I’ve always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations.

I didn’t think there was a limitation to my sexuality, and I found out just how true that actually was the night my best friend took it upon himself to take me in his mouth. Sure, there’d been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it’s bound to happen. That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.

How do you explain to your friends, your brother’s in arms, that your extremely active sexuality has led you to your best friend’s door step? How do you admit, after twenty-six years of heterosexuality, that you’re into something else?

I’ll soon find out that what happens in the dark will always come to light.

4.5 Stars!!!

Damn, but this book just blew me away! My co-blogger Jaymie loves reading MC romance books and she adores this series by Marie James and has been hoping for this book for a long time, so when it came time to sign up for Snatch, I just couldn’t resist reading it, too. I’m so happy I did. Even if I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series, since they are MF, there was enough background information that I never felt lost and felt I got to know all of the members in the club.

Snatch and Itchy have been best friends for a long time and are used to sharing girls, but while Snatch is as straight as they come, Itchy is bi and in love with Snatch. When the lines start to blur during one of their threesomes, Snatch starts to see Itchy in a new light, but even when their relationship changes, he claims he isn’t ready to come out to their brothers. However, Itchy wants more and after two years, he is losing hope Snatch will ever come to terms with being with him.

I haven’t read all that many MC books, and the list goes down exponentially when it comes to a MM MC book since there are so few good ones out there.

I really loved seeing the workings of the club, how their brotherhood worked and Itchy, he was definitely my favorite and my heart broke for him when he had to give Snatch his ultimatum and then when he so readily sacrificed himself to preserve Snatch’s secrets. I will admit that I shed a few tears for him during the scene in Brazil. :’(

I really liked Kincaid, Shadow and Kid and how great they were with their ladies. I loved that they refused to even look at the club girls. That was a neat change from other MC books. And of course, I also liked Khloe, because she helped Itchy a lot.

I liked Snatch, but really, there were moments in which I wanted to sucker-punch him. I get him not being ready to come out at first, but after being together with Itchy almost exclusively for two years, that’s just being stubborn for the sake of it. Waiting until being in a perilous situation to realize what he could lose, well, it just didn’t sit right with me.

I liked Ace and Snake, who provided some much needed comic relief when things were getting too serious.

I liked Darby, who was really the catalyst for Snatch and Itchy getting together. I didn’t quite like the idea of the threesome with her, but hey, whatever works. Just be warned, there's quite a bit of MFM or MMF during the first half of the book.

I hated, hated, HATED Snapper and really, she deserved to die a slow, torturous death for what she did to Itchy. Grrrr!!!

All in all, I can’t recommend this book enough. The chemistry between Itchy and Snatch was electric and they were hotter than hot together. The secondary plotlines were really intriguing and even if I lost my patience with Snatch several times, I loved the angst as he tried to work around his issues. The book was well-written and fast-paced, and I’m definitely hooked and wanting for more of this series. My mind was blown with that epilogue, by the way. I really hope we’ll see more of that in the future. Highly recommendable!

5 Stars!

Wow, so I had to kind of shake my surprise off when I started reading Snatch because it was quite different from the other books in the series. The beginning of the story was a bit more raunchy than the others and definitely a lot more focused on sex. Itchy and Snatch seemed to think about sex more than anything else even while in the middle of working cases. It was a tad off-putting to be honest. Now I may be a little different than many of the readers because I'm a huge fan of MM and am always looking for a great MM MC Romance story. So I was excited to get my hands on this one expecting this epic story about Itchy and Snatch. However, there was so much focus on the two bedding women that it lost some of its "shine" so to speak and I just wanted to get on with it. Luckily, the first few women they sleep with there isn't a ton of detail about the sex. When Darby entered the picture that all changed, though. This book pretty much turned to MMF or MFM erotica as opposed to MM Romance. It took a pretty long time for the story to really get the depth I enjoy and frankly, it wasn't until the 50% point that it started completely sucking me in to the point in which I couldn't put it down.

While I generally don't like to give spoilers I have to put this out there because as a reader this is something I would be happy to know before purchasing this particular book.

*If you are more of a MM fan and don't really like reading MF or MMF sex scenes, be prepared to skim quite a bit of the first half of the book.

*If you were hoping for a MFM book you should know that this truly is about Snatch and Itchy and their relationship as friends, brothers in arms and eventually lovers.

*If you're in the mood for sweet and sexy, be prepared for lots of dirty and raunchy with a side of sweet topped with plenty of sexy.

So what is it I loved about Snatch? Honestly, I adore Snatch and Itchy. Where they were a sort of mystery in the previous books, we get to truly know them this time around. I had loved the contrast of Snatch being this huge heavily tattooed biker who sings Britney with The Old Ladies and I fell hard for the man who punished himself as well as Itchy for fear of losing his club. I didn't agree with his thinking but I completely empathized with it. Now, this is not to say I didn't consider throat punching him a time or two (or three) because let's face it, bikers generally piss me off in these books before they redeem themselves. But as mad as I was at Snatch, I loved him as well.

I loved Itchy, too, especially the sacrifices he made as the story went on. He was strong to go through what he did waiting for Snatch. His vulnerability was extremely endearing and I hurt for him on more than one occasion. I wished we could have gotten more background on him because his character intrigues me more than any of the others, followed closely by Snatch. I really have nothing bad to say about this man.

Darby really was a big part of this story but I have to tell ya, other than her role as catalyst for the boys, I couldn't stand her. I never not once saw the appeal to make them want to be with her. I hate that her being a hooker and a club girl turned me off of her so much but unfortunately it did. I didn't feel as if there was love between her and the men and that made it hard to like her. Factor in that she was Snapper's biggest fan and I pretty much wanted to hurl at the mention of her name.

I liked getting to see the events of the previous books through Snatch and Itchy's eyes. If this is the first book in the series you're reading, you get to see what's happened in the club without the sometimes monotonous summarization or synopsis you generally get in books. There were a few events I loved getting the outside view of and then there were others I picked up on things I hadn't previously caught. I especially liked getting to see not only the characters we know but a few of the brothers we haven't really been exposed to in the previous books.

I will say I hated Snapper even more in this story than I previously did which is something I never thought possible. I loathe her and I truly hope we don't get any more characters like her in any following books. The whole evil club girl who believes she can get one of the brothers to make her his old lady and give her his patch, well, it's getting old. Like the saying goes, "Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free?" Most of these men do not have the intention of taking a woman as his old lady when every man in the club has had her in his bed.

Overall, I really loved Snatch. Once I got over the beginning of the story and all the MFM/MMF sex, I realized it was all worth it. We need the beginning of this story to truly appreciate the end. I highly recommend Snatch!
