This audiobook was my favorite of the two for sure! Not only is the story trés hot, but I just adored listening to the different voices Alexander Collins came for the different characters. He managed to show us both the sizzling chemistry and the love that Andrew and Caleb felt for each other, and how perfect they were for one another even if it took them so long to realize it. Highly recommendable!

Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can't have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.
After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn't as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn't how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart; it's how he'll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

Nate and Jake have known each other their whole lives. They are in love, but have been afraid to share their feelings for fear of rejection. When their relationship turns physical during a vacation, they will need to learn to overcome their fear if they want to share a future.

This story was very fluffy, with some light angst, told in dual POV, which I usually love. In this case, however, at least during the first chapters, it got a bit repetitive when I got to listen to the same scene twice, only told from either Jake or Nate's point of view. Still, it did get better as the story moves along. It also meant that the one scene that broke my heart, when Jake and Nate went out with Nate's friends the first time, did so twice.

Anyway, other than that, I think Alexander Collins did a great job with this audiobook. His voice is quite enjoyable and he injects a lot of emotion into his narration. While it wasn't my favorite of Cardeno C. stories, it's still a good one, and one I can recommend if you're in the mood for a sweet story.
