To bond with his destined mate, an Alpha wolf must look past what he sees and trust what he feels.
Bonded by their parents before they were conceived, wolf shifters Abel and Kai adored each other since they were children. As teens, the two future Alphas took the next step in their bonding process and vowed to remain true to one another until Kai came of age. But when tragedy struck, Abel felt betrayed and ran from Kai instead of completing their mating.
Abel never stops yearning for the man who was supposed to lead by his side and after years without contact, Kai returns, broken and on death's door. If Abel wants to fulfill their destiny and merge their packs, he'll need to look past what he saw and trust his heart.
Listen to a sample!
Wolf-shifters Abel and Kai were promised to be bonded by their parents before they were born and always had a great connection between them, both willing to rule their respective packs together, until the moment when Abel discovered Kai wasn't as committed to him as he'd always believed.
Now, years later, Kai's sister comes to Abel for help for her brother and he discovers that there might have been more to what he saw that fateful day.
I'm a big fan of Cardeno C. stories and this one was no exception. I loved the story and Robert M. Clark did a great job with the narration. The different character voices were fairly recognizable and distinct from each other and he has a nice, husky timbre that made Cardeno C.'s already hot love scenes even steamier, which is a feat in itself. *fans self*
For the most part, the narration was very enjoyable. There were a few parts that felt a bit flat and monotonous, but they didn't detract much from the quality of the audiobook.
Story: 4.5 Stars!

Sometimes to find love, you must first learn forgiveness.
A dozen years, 2,000 miles, and a law degree after high school, Rafi Steiner continues to harbor resentment toward Isaac Jones, his childhood bully turned NBA star. When Isaac appears at Rafi's favorite restaurant acting like a long-lost friend, Rafi bluntly dismisses him.
But Isaac is tenacious and he has his heart set on the grown-up version of the boy he always wanted and never forgot. The way Isaac sees it, he and Rafi are perfect for each other, if only he could sink the most important shot of his life: his one shot at forgiveness.
Amazon / Amazon UK / Audible / iTunes
The last thing Rafi Steiner wanted was to see his high-school archnemesis and the guy who'd single-handedly made his teenage years hell, Isaac Jones, ever again. Pity the guy didn't get the memo and seemed intent on connecting with him after a chance meeting in Emile City, where Rafi lives now. Is there any chance that Rafi can get over all the evil things that Isaac subjected him to when they were younger and get Isaac a shot at forgiveness?
Short, hot and sweet is what comes to my mind when I think of this book. Both Rafi and Isaac were very likable and that came across quite nicely in the audiobook, same as their chemistry. The narration was a bit monotonous at first, but it evened out after a couple of chapters and I ended up enjoying it thoroughly.
