4.5 Stars
This is book two in the Roads series and should not be read as a standalone.
Pete and Ash have been through so much, both together and individually, but through the years that they've been friends and lovers they've never given up on one another. They are each there to help pick up the other when they fall and their bond is stronger with each and every hurdle they get over together.
I love Pete and Ash and the author manages to recapture the chemistry and connection between them that was present in book one. They again face a major adversity in this leg of their journey, but they manage to come out stronger on the other end.
The story is well-written and paced well. It held me enthralled from the first page and had twists and turns that I didn't see coming. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster from laughter to tears, but by the end I had a smile on my face. I can't wait to get to the last chapter of Ash and Pete's story and hopefully their HEA!
Very enjoyable and highly recommendable!
