Chasing Mr. Wright is book one in the Fated Heart Series and is the latest novel from Amazon best selling author, Aimee Nicole Walker.

Grayson Wright is a man who knows how to do many things. He knows how to follow his dream and create a company, Wright Creations, alongside his brother. He knows how to be a good son, brother, friend, and employer. Grayson doesn’t know how to fix his toxic relationship with his long-time boyfriend.

Grayson decides to throw his boyfriend a surprise birthday party as a last ditch effort to rekindle the old spark, but it’s Gray who gets the surprise of his life when he turns on the lights and learns the ugly truth about his life. Now at age 32, he re-evaluates who he is, what he wants out of life, and the kind of man he wants to give his heart to.

Chase Rivers has an MBA from Georgetown with a minor in marketing. His life starts looking up when he accepts an entry level position at an ad agency. It isn’t his dream job, but it’s a great start and it just feels right to him.  He hopes this new beginning in his professional life will spill over into his personal life.

Chase is unlucky in love and draws every loser, liar and cheater like a magnet. He’s an expert at finding the perfect mate for his friends, but strikes out every time for himself. He gives up on finding Mr. Right and agrees to a date with Mr. Right Now out of loneliness and desperation. Chase didn’t expect Mr. Right Now to lead him to the doorstep of his very own Mr. Wright.

If their first meeting was a fluke, then what was the second and third? Twisted fate? Bad luck? Fated hearts? Buckle up for a bumpy ride as these two men travel down a broken road of heartache and discovery.

This book contains heart, humor, heat, and a cast of characters that is sure to keep you smiling. It contains adult language, explicit sexual acts between two men, and is intended for people who are 18 and older

Chasing Mr. Wright was the first book of Aimee Nicole Walker's that I read. I was new to the MM world, and decided to try a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I know many people have different opinions of the KU program, but this program helped me discover many new to me authors that I may have never gave a chance to without this program. And, even though I always read Aimee's books through the KU program, I love to reread them so I always buy them, too!

Chasing Mr. Wright is Book 1 in the Fated Hearts series. This series should be read in the appropriate order as characters often make reappearances throughout the series (I love this about her books!).

Grayson is a workaholic in a long-term relationship, until he gets an unexpected surprise at the surprise birthday party he threw for his boyfriend. He ends his relationship and decides to just focus on the business he owns with his brother. He doesn't expect that when his new assistant begins that it will turn out to be someone that was involved in the end of his relationship and he definitely doesn't expect to be attracted to him. Chase is happy about starting his dream job with an ad agency. Until he begins and finds out who he now works for. This is just another example of Chase's unluckiness. He's been unlucky in love and seems to be a magnet to losers, liars and cheats. Chase is skilled in finding love for his friends though and has a great support system in them and his grandmother. His grandmother is so quirky and hilarious, she's just one more reason to love this story!

I couldn't put this book down once I started! I love nothing more than a sweet romance with a beautiful HEA and that's exactly what Aimee always delivers (there's a reason she's one of my favorite authors!). Grayson and Chase have to work for their relationship and they have to overcome their awkward beginnings, but it's so beautifully worth it in the end to have these wonderful guys find their love. They were both men that had wanted a relationship and finally everything went right in their lives!

I always recommend Aimee's books, they're full of imperfect, men who are good guys deserving of love. But, she also provides men who find and create their families, who have strong bonds of friendships and allows you to enjoy watching all them grow.

4.5 Fated Lovers Stars!!!

Chase and Gray's story begins in a very unconventional way, and while both of them feel something for the other from the start, this is not your typical insta-lust/love book.

Chase is such a lovely character, very down-to-earth, loved by his friends and his awesome Gram, who is just amazing, by the way. He's been very unlucky in love, though, having been cheated on and lied to, so trust is not something he easily gives. However, he wants to find that special man he can love and be loved by, with whom he can form a family and be happy with. From the moment his eyes lock with Gray's he knows he's special, but the circumstances are less than stellar and unfortunately they don't get better when they meet again.

I really liked Gray, although sometimes I wanted to shake him a bit. He could be a tad overbearing and intense when he got jealous and there were a couple of instances where I just wanted to scream at him to get his act together. Without giving anything away, I have to give props to Aimee Nicole Walker for the make-up scene near the end, she definitely gave me what I always crave in these types of stories.

The passion and love Gray and Chase felt were undeniable and their chemistry was out of this world hot. I loved that the path to their HEA wasn't easy, but maybe because of that, it felt more worthwhile in the end. They were flawed characters and they messed up, but they kept striving to make things right for each other and that's something I appreciate.

Overall, a very well-written book, nicely paced, with a great cast of characters. It was a very good start to the series, setting up the tone for the next books and giving us characters I'm eager to know more of.

Highly recommendable!

Aimee Nicole Walker's Bio:

I am a wife and mother to three kids, three dogs, and a cat. When I’m not dreaming up stories, I like to lose myself in a good book, cook or bake. I'm a girly tomboy who paints her fingernails while watching sports and yelling at the referees. I will always choose the book over the movie. I believe in happily-ever-after. Love inspires everything that I do.  Music keeps me sane.

I’d love to hear from you.
