Release Blitz: Unwritten Law by Eden Finley (Review+Giveaway)

Release Date: September 5, 2018
Cover Design: Angsty G

Synopsis

Being an identical twin doesn’t come without issues.

No one can tell us apart, not even our parents sometimes. We don’t usually use that to our advantage, but it comes in handy when my brother needs help breaking up with his boyfriends—which happens more than I’d care to admit. I know it’s enabling him, but I can’t say no to Anders. I will do anything for my twin. The breakups always go the same; they’re swift and simple. Until Reed. He’s everything I've fantasised about but never allowed myself to have. When I give in to temptation and begin to freak out, it’s not because he’s a guy. It’s because he thinks I’m my brother, and I can’t bring myself to tell him the truth.

I loved the blurb and the cover. Anything with twins in it is great in my book and I'll pounce on it like nobody's business, LOL. Brody, Reed's BFF and his sort of an ex, he made a fantastic impression the little we saw of him, I'm definitely interested in reading the next book since I suppose he'll be paired off with Law's twin brother, Anders. *crosses fingers*

I liked Reed and Law, for the most part. So, yes, the two of them messed up in different ways and some of those left a bad taste on my mouth, but overall, they were nice and had amazing chemistry and the sex scenes were hot. I really liked some of Law's inner musings, they were funny and had me laughing out loud.

However, as I mentioned there were a few things that weren't to my liking. Like, for example, the fact that Law didn't want to come out to his brother and parents, his motives were flimsy at best considering Anders was out and proud and I just wanted to shake some sense into Law because of it. Also, I totally understood that he felt guilty over what happened to Anders and that's why he enabled him by being the one who broke up with all of Anders' hookups, but I hated that he wouldn't come clean with Reed until he was forced to by the circumstances. Nor did I like that Reed would continue hooking up with Law thinking he was Anders while lusting for Law or buy that he wouldn't notice that their kisses were the same after Law as Law kissed Reed that one time, but what do I know, right? *sighs*

Anyway, so, here's the thing, I was really excited to read this book, this is a new-to-me author and the blurb and the cover drew me in, unfortunately, while the book is well-written and engaging, as I mentioned there were a few things that didn't particularly work for me, but who knows? There's a chance you'll love it, so make your own mind about it and give it a try.

About the Author

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.
She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart. With a short attention span that rivals her five-year-old son's, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF. She's also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don't make sense to anyone else.
