His mother. His best friend. The barmaid at the local pub. Everyone is determined to find Nathan Moffatt a boyfriend. It’s the last thing Nathan wants. After spending every day making sure his clients experience nothing but romantic magic, the Granshire Hotel’s wedding organizer just wants to go home, binge watch crime dramas, and eat pizza in his underwear.

Unfortunately, no one believes him, and he’s stuck with lectures about dying alone. Then inspiration strikes. He needs the people in his life to want him to stay single as much as he does. He needs a bad boyfriend.

There’s only one man for the job.

Flynn Delaney is used to people on the island of Ceremony thinking the worst of him. But he isn’t sure he wants the dubious honor of worst boyfriend on the entire island. On the other hand, if he plays along, he gets to hang out with the gorgeous Nathan and piss off the owners of the Granshire Hotel. It’s a win-win.
There’s only one problem—Flynn’s actually quite a good boyfriend, and now Nathan’s wondering if getting off the sofa occasionally is really the worst thing in the world.

4.5 Stars!

I loved Flynn, he was gruff and angry, but with a sweetness to him in regards to Nate. And I liked Nate, he was hardworking and while his motives to get together with Flynn weren't the greatest, and his kneejerk reaction after Max made Flynn angry made me want to strangle him, he was still likable enough. They were older, Flynn, 43 and Nate 37, and it was a refreshing change, even if they seemed younger (as in less mature) sometimes. They had amazing rapport and I loved to see them banter back and forth. Despite them being opposites with Flynn being the 'bad boy', ex-Army, mechanic and rescuer, and Nate being the 'good guy', wedding planner, they fit together well and were really hot together. It was refreshing that after their 'break-up', the two of them actually came forward to make things right, too.

I didn't care for Max, Nate's BFF, but at least he came through for his friend in the end. I cared even less for Teddy, Max's father, but I guess he served his purpose.

While I loved the book, one thing that bugged me was how most of the town treated Flynn. I get that he had left and didn't come back for his dad's burial, but he had reasons and they all were plenty happy to have him help them when they needed to be rescued, but didn't cut Flynn any slack and gossiped about him at any chance they had. Grrr!!!

Anyway, this was a fantastic read! Fun, engaging, with a captivating plot and interesting subplots, like the wedding Nate was planning, Flynn's rescue missions and the secrets Flynn and Max were hiding. Never a dull moment in Ceremony, LOL. Very recommendable!
